DS is a thumb sucker, he recently got his first tooth, and now has what was a blister thats popped and now looks like a cut. Any suggestions on what i can do to get this to heal? As in anything i can put on it? Ideally i would just get him to stop sucking his thumb but thats not going to happen!
I was told maybe nipple cream would help...

You could put one of those plasters on it that are skin like and seal the wound up so tis all water tight etc.

Henry got one of these a wee while ago. On his knuckle and it blistered and then split. There is no way he would stop sucking his thumb. We just left it and it eventually healed itself and is now quite tough skin. If you do want to put something on it i would probably suggest that lansinol (not sure if thats now its spelt) nipple cream as that is fine for bubs to suck.

My DS got one too. It took a long time to heal, the only thing that sort of worked was putting a plaster on it so he couldn't suck it. It gave it a wee break atleast and allowed it to heal a bit.

Eli is a thumb sucker and had a little infected blister from sucking. We put some bepanthan (nappy cream) on it at every waking time and it seemed to help a bit.

I think as others wrote that it should heal naturally and get harder skin on the thumb.
3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys.
