Topic: Awful Pain...Anyone else???? Posted: 08 July 2006 at 10:12am |
Lately at night when lying on my side I have been waking up with this awful tear come stabbing pain. It doesnt matter which way I move to try get up or roll over .it gets incredibly worse and just about makes me cry!!
I have to lie dead still and wake up Mark to get wheat packs and it eventually goes away!!
Getting a bit over it tho cause its making me really unsettled!
Anyone got any suggestions or had anything like this??

It seems to be in my lower side of the pelvic/hip area.

Ouch! It's not a pulled muscle is it? You got a pillow under your tummy to help support it? Sounds nasty, you poor wee thing.

Hmm tends to be on the right hand side more than the left....I get it when I lie on both sides tho.
Shouldnt you be giving birth today????

Should be, yes, but am I? Nope - nada, nothing, zip, zero. No baby. *sigh*
The pain you're getting sounds a LOT like what I had, the ligament that holds up the uterus got super-inflamed and eventually also became super-painful, so much so that I ended up at the hospital to be checked out and was ordered to take a week off work and literally do nothing so that it could heal - the premise being that if I didn't rest it, I could wind up stuck on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy.
In other words, take it easy, and if it gets much worse - have it checked out !!

Oh that sounds nasty. It is bloody painful when it happens. I am not too much of a wimp but it brings tears to my eyes as well as takes my breath away!!

Oddly enough this seems to be the one pain I don't have but I hope it gets better for you soon!
Take Jax's advice and get plenty of rest.

Sounds similar to the pains I had earlier which were later diagnosed as adhesion pains..but then again that depends if you have any scar tissue from old surgery or anything?
