I am quite relieved Madison is only number 20 (although that doesn't include all the Maddisons) in the world it was something like number 3.
I am also quite happy to see Keiras name up the list too so at least both out girls have fairly common names and we were just as mean to both of them.
It is interesting seeing how the list compares to the babies born on OhBaby, I have definately seen quite a few Sophie's, Isabellas, Olivias.... and the boys names too.

Kellz - its good to see that the name Isla is obviously well liked but still not too common It was the only girls name to be added to the Top 30 list. Up 20 places from 2008! Not a bad achievement! Glad we chose that name cause the other 3 names we were thinking of were Olivia, Ella and Sophie and they are the Top 3!!! (not in that order tho)

urgh, can't make the links work :( too tired to google. I don't think that my girls name's are overly popular. At least not the way we spelled them. When I named Ethan I didn't know any, turns out it was one of the top most popular names of 06 lol

I'd be interested to know how many babies with the favourite names it takes to make the top 100.

If you look at the list with the top 100 it shows the number of each name registered. I think there were 380(something) Sophies and 345 Jacks.

we tried to avoid names that were too common but didnt want really crazy names wither. i cant seem to find mack on there, but that be cos we spelt it different. our short list this time is Finn (#36), Eli (not there) and Hunter (#17). those numbers are at the highest though, im surprised hunter was so high. thats our favorite at the moment :)
we never had girls name cos we were hoping for boys so figured we'd look at them closer to the time if we had a gril. lol

Same here. Sucks aye. lol. It was one of my favourite names but then Twilight came out and i knew it would become popular so i decided not to use it. But then when she was born i was like screw it i'm still using it. lol. Plus it's the only name me and DP could agree on.

If the links about still don't work, delete the extra "http://" after you've clicked on it I managed to see them. Was surprised that Callum was on the list, but pretty far down. We also wanted a name that wasn't too "different" but wasn't really common. I had 3 other Sarah's in my class in primary school

Morgan isn't in the top 100 - I didn't think it was that uncommon .... although we have had ALOT of comments about it being unusual after she was born. I didn't think it was unusual, I wasn't trying to be different, we just couldn't agree on anything else.
