Does anyone else, after standing in the one spot get itchy feet and ankles?? When Im doing the dishes, standing in the shower or jsut making a coffee I get really tingly, itchy, burning feet and ankles.
Wonder what it may be?? IT gets unbearable.

Lol, how interesting. I've had this a lot too and just wrote it off. I wonder if it could be a pregnancy thing after all? I get it a lot in bed, its really annoying!

check with your midwife.. don't want to scare you but that's one of the signs my sis had when she got pre-eclampsia... not much swelling just really itchy tingly feet.

Yeah, high (?) blood pressure causes swelling and itchy hands and feet. For the feet, have a sit down with your legs up as high as you can manage with a giant belly to contend with. And for hands.... hrmmm... walk round looking like and idiot with your hands in the air?!?
But yeah, Janine is right too, it's a sign of pre-eclampsia.
Here are other symptoms to look out for
- severe headaches,
- vision problems such as blurring or seeing flashing lights before the eyes,
- pain in the upper abdomen,
- vomiting, and
- sudden swelling of feet, ankles, face and hands and excessive weight gain because of fluid retention.
The pee on a stick tests the midwives do each visit shows up protein when pre-eclampsia is setting in. But don't worry about it too much as all the symptoms are also pregnancy generally. Maybe mention it to your midwife when you next talk to her (if you only have one of the symptoms).

Well, if mw has check proteins lately and they are fine then the visual disturbances could be entirely unrelated. Just to make it easy!
