Do you take vitamins or supplements?
I presently take 3 EVP and 1 multi vitamin each day. I take the EVP as apparently I get bad PMS, well so my Mum and DH have told me and then the multi as I have not been eating the best lately so I am trying to compensate.
I have taken all sorts of other vitamins in the past but then saw that doco about them and stopped taking anything for ages. So I guess I am just curious to know what others take or if you take nothing at all.
Also do you give your children any vitamins or supplements?

I *should* take B12 and iron cause I'm a vego but I never remember. I get B12 shots instead which works way better.
But I take 5mg folic acid. Have done since I had Jared.
I have a multi sitting in the pantry but I never remember to take it.

I saw that doco too, scary
I am rubbish at taking pills, so only take what the dr says.
I went & saw someone who looks into your eyes & she told me I needed, blah, blah so stupidly I bought it all (she was at the chemist, so convent), cost $$$ & did not feel anything
I think some people take way too much stuff & a real mixture as they are supposed to be good for you & are the miraculous cure to what ever, but I really wonder about the combination of excessive vits taking, it may do the total opposite to what you are trying to do.
As that doco said you don't need to take a lot of the vits in high doses.
But there are a lot of people who swear by them, so I don't know. I wonder if the ones to make you look younger really work? I would love to be asked for my ID again

I take a preg/BF multivitamin, iron and calcium/magnesium. My diet varies a lot so I generally take whatever I "need" that day because I've missed out on a bit (eg if we had chicken for dinner I take my iron)

I just stumbled accross this on TM. Kids Vege Boost,
Dosage:
Children 2 year and over: Two tablets daily
Ingredients per chewable tablet:
Proprietary blend of green foods 125mg
Broccoli (Brassica oleracea) floret extract
Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) leaf extract
Whole brown rice (Oryza sativa)
Carrot juice (Daucus carota)
Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris)
Beet root juice (Beta vulgaris)
Kelp (Laminaria spp.)
Alfalfa (Medicago sativum)
FOS (from chicory and dahlia)
Naturally sweetened with fructose. Natural tropical flavour
Might try DS2 on these as he is shocking for eating veg, will check it out fist.
Has anyone tried or used them?

No I don't take anything. If i get low in iron I buy Floradix- probably not the best absorption method but I hate iron tablets. I'm of the belief that if your diet is varied enough and you eat reasonable amounts of veggies, fruit, nuts and proteins (meat and/or beans etc) then there is no need for added supplements.

Hi Kebakat, can I ask why you take 5mg of FA, and do you buy it over the counter? And why you still take it?
Reason I ask is that I am on an ADDITIONAL 5mg of FA, prescribed by my specialist, additional to Elevit, and it's because of suspected MTHKR or NKC's.
