Topic: simple special meal... Posted: 26 March 2010 at 10:44am |
Help. It's our wedding anniversary on Monday and as we're not doing gifts I wanted to make hubby a nice tea... just something simple but a bit out of the ordinary.
I'm a pretty crap cook outside the usual - spag bol, stir fries, roasts etc - so it'd need to be fairly bulletproof and something easy to prepare as 8 month old DS is usually needing attention between 5pm and 6pm.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated!!!

homemade butter chicken? chicken parmigiana? thai green curry? curry chicken? creamy rosemary pork? chicken plum and camembert parcels (super easy)? creamy chicken linguine? creamy cajun chicken pasta?
all are our favourites - let me know if you want any of the recipes
good luck!

Ok, so sorry this is late!
The Chicken Plum Camembert Parcels are off this site. I slither the chicken breasts in half so they are thinner and easier to cook. You could perhaps serve with Creamy Herbed Potatoes
And the Cajun Chicken recipe is off this site - it makes heaps so make max half the recipe. Is super yummy!
ETA: The Pioneer Woman website is amazing and she has the best recipes ever if anyone ever wants to try something new!

oh, and forgot to add that i use about 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper - gives it a little spice but not too hot to overtake the dish (the recipe says "to taste"
