Can you POAS twice?

Just wondering if you pee on a stick and get a negative result... If you do it again on the same stick but when you are pregnant, would it remain negative? Or would it change??

Probably a daft question but just came to my head one night and I've wondered ever since!

I don't think you can.

Although I guess you never know until someone tries it!!

good question!!

I'm guessing it wouldn't work twice because when the pee travels up the stick it either reacts with the chemical or not (obviously!) but would 'wash it out' or dilute it if it was a negative result so there wouldn;t be enough chemical left to react if you let it dry out and reused with positive pee?

I'd be very interested if anyone knows more exactly the science behind it though.

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines as what Rachel has just said.

Can you convince a pregnant woman to try it Nic??

I probably did that myself around 4-5 times because I just couldn't quite believe it :) We should all buy shares in the companies that manufacture the tests LOL

Yep, I was still POAS until somewhere around 20 weeks. I just loved seeing that line come up so much. Addicted much??

Haha, it never really felt real until she started moving for me but I never had the urge to POAS, perhaps after the 3 I used I felt like I wanted to do more but didn't want to go buy more.

Its the red/blue dye, its already been used up the first time, theres nothing left to react to the chemical in the test line to create that second line. Interesting what you read online when your bored at odd hours of the night

I did it lol. It was a FR and, I may have been imagining things, but there was a really really really faint pink line. I only did it because DF asked me the same thing lol.

"Can you pee on those sticks twice?"
"No, they're single use only"
"Thats what they want you to think!"

Umm.. yeah...

wouldn't be a very reliable way to test tho Lease you'd never know if that very faint line was an evap or real eh... You can often see a tiny bit of the dye left on the FRs though eh...
