Topic: After the baby is born Im going to... Posted: 03 September 2010 at 10:16pm |
Kind of putting a positive spin on the whole fed up thread.
I realized whilst sitting in my lukewarm bath tonight that there are a few things I've missed during pregnancy and am looking forward to doing some of the following when I am no longer pregnant.
Feel free to add your own list
* Having a nice hot bath
* Having a double helping of cold christmas ham with coleslaw and homemade mayo
* Enjoying summer salads and loads of seafood
* Having smoked salmon sushi
* Going out for lunch and having what ever I want off the menu
* Egg benedict for breakfast
* Medium rare steaks or any meat not over cooked
* Not having to worry about having LBW when coughing or sneezing
* Being able to bend through the middle
* Being able to de-fuzz my legs without missing any
* Being able to walk straight and not worry whether my hip, knees or ankles are going to go in directions they're not designed to.

ALL of the above!!!
Also...
* I am going to go WALKING in the sun without worrying so much about getting sunburnt or overheating
* I'm going to go to a champagne brunch and actually get my money's worth by eating all the amazing seafood, cheeses, rare roast beef (and the rest) AND having a few drinks
* Sleep on my front (once my boobs settle down lol)
* Pick up my 13kg toddler without worrying about "dropping" the baby I'm carrying
* Enjoy a LESS intimate relationship with the loo and the back of the bathroom door
* Hopefully I'll also be more patient with Callum and DH too

Eat LOTS of soft cheeses. Lots and lots. Although that was my plan last time, but DS was allergic to dairy and it went through my breastmilk and made him sick!! But surely that won't happen again!

Sleeping on my back without snoring like an old man or feeling like my vital organs are being crushed.
Being able to roll over in bed or get up off the couch with ease.

I'm going to get a coffee and enjoy not having the assumption from staff that i 'wont be ordering coffee obviously' !! Rude so and so clearly doesnt know that coffee is fine in small doses!!
Looking forward to going out without doing a mental tally up of where the nearest bathroom is JIC!

You know,I ate eggs benedict throughout my entire pregnancy with Ty, it was only this time I heard you aren't supposed to.
I don't each sushi (GROSS!!!! ) but at least I could if I went crazy and wanted to
I will have nice cheap wine (cos it tastes better to me )
eat salami and ham without cooking it
will go in a spa pool
I don't have a bath , but I'll have a really hot one at my mums,so hot it makes my skin feel all itchy when I get out.
....Although again, all through my pregnancy with Ty I didn't have luke warm baths , I had bordering on hot baths . He was fine.
Not holding my breath about the sneezing and coughing because that carries on after baby arrives
eat soft cheeses, eat anything without wondering if I shouldn't
go to Zumba classes and get my figure back

Can tell where my priorities are
I remember lying in bed (between 7 point turns when I was 41 weeks) dreaming of being able to roll over easily and spring out of bed - took about 2 weeks after Dan was born for that to happen!
Mmmm, Christmas ham .......

My LO is 4 weeks old now so I can thankfully do some of these already...
Sleep on my stomach
Drink a big can of V
Shave my legs
Have cheesecake, preferably a whole one
Enjoy a burger with homemade aioli
Roll over in bed without it being a 5 minute exercise
Start exercising again
Paint my toenails
