Does anyone know how they test for bleeding disorders these days?

Alex looks like hes inherited a bleeding problem from the in laws. On his skin prick test he took a very long time to clot. BIL couldn't get his tonsils out as a kid because they thought he would bleed to death. MIL is a bleeder too (fluctuating factor 8 or something).

I'm not worried by it, just curious. Hes gonna be referred to a paed but I doubt they will be in any great hurry to see him.

Depends on what it is.  I have von willebrands and the test for that takes a couple of viles of blood but they won't test the children unless they absolutely need to because taking blood from a child (especially a baby) is difficult and VWB's isn't immediately life threatening iykwim.  DD was tested before she had surgery last year but DS hasn't needed to be tested yet.
