I have a weird baby poo question... Last weekend and then last night, Daniel's poos have still been yellow but with this white stringy stuff in it that looks a bit like cooked egg white or tofu sorry for tmi but google is giving me nothing and I'm not sure if it's normal or an upset tummy from some sort of allergy/intolerance Oh and it smells bad and he's still farting like a trooper! I've been dairy free for 2 weeks so am starting to think that's NOT the problem, although I am still eating bought foods containing milk products eg bread.

It's not mucus-y and doesn't look like pics I have seen of mucus-y baby poos online (the things we do!!!)

This morning when D woke up he farted non stop for about 5 minutes and seemed very uncomfortable (he was grunting and crying) and he had a very wet nappy but no poo that time.

He's breastfed with the occasional bottle of EBM.

I have a baby around the same age and my midwife said that his bowel movements will change as my milk changes...it constantly changes to meet their developmental needs.
Logan has been farting heaps lately too (sometimes shooting poo a fair distance when changing his nappy - my partner calls them sh*t rockets ). He's also had the odd green poo.

I wouldn't worry about it unless your baby is particularly distressed or is acting unusually.
Could be something you've eaten but I think it's so hard to pinpoint exactly what it could be that you're better off just going with the flow.

Sorry, I haven't been very helpful!

curdled-looking bits in baby poo is totally normal (pretty much anything goes with breastfed poo!)
