Topic: Loss of symptoms at 9 weeks Posted: 31 January 2011 at 12:26pm |
I'm 9 weeks 4 days today and Saturday was the last time I felt any nausea (after puking all Friday morning), and the last time I felt any stretching pains/strains was Friday night. I was thanking my lucky stars for a MS-free weekend, but this morning I woke up feeling...empty...? I don't know how to explain it, but that's kind of how I feel. My boobs haven't really been sore at all since week 5, but now my nipples aren't even sensitive at night like they have been recently. I'm not finding any foods or smells gross like I have been - its like all of my symptoms have stopped overnight!
I called my MW this morning and I've just had my first lot of hcg bloods done, and I have an informal scan tomorrow morning.
Has anyone else had this happen and everything turn out just fine? I'm really crossing my fingers that everything is going to be ok, and that this little bubba is just being obedient - I've asked it several times to stop making me sick! That's teach me to be careful what I wish for aye... Its my DH's birthday tomorrow, and I guess it'll either be a great bday pressie (seeing the scan and that everything's ok!) or a really terrible one

I had this happen for about a week at around 10 weeks. Really scared me. Everything just stopped. But it didnt stay away by 11 weeks i felt pretty awful again.
FX its nothing. The first 12 weeks are definitely the hardest and scariest part of pregnancy. Once the first trimester is over it gets so much easier. Alot less worry.

I had the same thing. Plus I had bleeding after a few days of no morning sickness. Amazingly, bubs was fine and morning sickness has come back in a nasty way!

I had this about 10-11weeks along, really freaked me out! I had been wishing ms and nausea would stop and when it did I had a huge panic! Everything was fine though. I only had sore boobs/sensitive nipples from about 3-6 weeks.

My symptoms come and go a lot! Sometimes I think its to do with being busy with a 2 year old and so not noticing as much and other times I think I just don't have any symptoms and then they hit me again a day or so later, I think its quite normal. In my first pregnancy I felt fantastic from week 8 - 10 but I think that had something to do with being on my honeymoon and just relaxing 24/7
The first trimester is so unsure and scary, I have had moments of real worry, but I have decided to just enjoy having my baby with me and will deal with anything I need to when I have my scan in 2 weeks, I hope your scan goes well tomorrow I have my FX for you!

I haven't had morning sickness with either pregnancies, but had a lot more nausea with DS.
With this one, hardly any symptoms at all. A bit of this and that in trimester 1, don't know when it stopped, but the first couple of times I saw my MW (12 & 16wks), all I had to say was I couldn't feel less pregnant.
Now I'm 26wks and he's kicking as the laptop hits my bump
good luck

I started bleeding at 7wks 2days with #4, woke up the next morning and all my symptoms were gone! I was convinced I was going to miscarry as I had had MS until 12 wks with both previous pregnancies (until 18 wks in fact with the twins!)
I had a scan the following week when nothing else happened.....bleeding eased to spotting, but I was feeling great, not tired or anything! I went in fully expecting to hear "sorry......." but instead we saw a very strong heartbeat!!
She is now 6 months old. My symptoms never returned, and the pregnancy was pretty much perfect!!
Fingers crossed for you.....it is a scary time, early pregnancy!!

Thank you all so much for your messages and support - I had my scan this morning and saw the little blur and a flickering heartbeat. Apparently everything is all ok according to the registrar, whew! Bring on my NT scan on 21 February so I can see it all a bit better. What a fabulous present today's scan was for DH, I know it could've been a terrible present, but it wasn't, thank goodness! WHEW!
I'm crossing my fingers that I'm one of the lucky ones and won't have MS again during this pregnancy, here's hoping anyway!

Glad to hear scan went well! I never had any MS at all and my boobs were only sore for about 2-3 weeks after i found out, i occassionally get very very sore nipples but not often - Im now 24 weeks and if i didn't get kicked all day i wouldn't even feel pregnant!
Hope it all stays well
