Just wondering what age your baby was when you stopped swaddling/wrapping and how you went about it?
My wee girl is 3.5 months and wont sleep unless she is wrapped. And she is a great sleeper so not knocking it!But she is going into a cot this weekend so thinking it might be time to start thinking about getting her out of this habbit. I put her in a sleeping bag last night and wrapped her loosley over the top, she woke at midnight with her arms stretched out in front crying her eyes out. Not sure whether to keep life simple and carrying on wrapping until she grows out of it (hopefully!) or make some changes now?

I stopped swaddling my girls at 6 months when it started getting too hot. Took 3 nights of wakeups for them to get used to it.

Sleepstore suggest you keep swaddling as long as baby is happy and safe. So if she starts to roll in the swaddle you either need to start using a safety sleep or ditch the swaddle. We had safety sleeps.

At your bubba's age and it being winter I would keep swaddling.

Mine stayed swaddled til about 5 months I think, til she was ready to be out, lots of kicking legs and wriggly arms trying to escape, will still only tolerate a sleeping bag no covers at all

swaddled with big piece of merino til well over a year, much
easier to wean off at that stage.

Mine wouldn't stay swaddled - she was a little Hudini - still is, so my friend's mum made me a few sleep sacks similar to the woombie - maybe if you are able to make/or have them made. It is pretty much like having a pillow case with a neck (I know hard to explain) - but it gives them enough room to move without getting to the face as their hands are still covered

All of mine have been swaddled until about 1yr old. Never had any trouble with weaning at that age.

My four-month-old is still wrapped, and will be until she absolutely has to be weaned from it. In my son, that was when he learnt to roll in his wrap and ended up face-down with no way of rolling back (about five months). If figure if they like it and it works, use it!
