I've got a single pram at the moment and fingers crossed we'll be UTD again soon.

Our DD has nearly outgrown her pram in height, so I'd like something thats not too small.

I'm not keen on Phil & Teds, I don't like the way when there is a NB in there, the older toddler looks like they're hanging off the front! They do look very functional when you have 2 older children though.

I was thinking either
- Mountain Buggy +one
- Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle (either DD#1 in pram, NB in front pack or DD#1 on a Buggy Board and NB in pram)
- Baby Jogger City Select

Recommendations on any of these?

Any other suggestions?

Mountain buggy plus one is useless. The child in front can not recline at all. And once the baby is past newborn and wants to sit up the baby had to sit in the front seat that doesnt recline and the toddler has to sit in the back seat. Not a very good set up at all.

Ive had the city select. Used it 3 times and sold it. It was so darn long and not that easy to push. Very hard to pull back on and get up gutters etc.

Mountain buggy duett is fantastic. The smaller double thats the same widith as the urban.

Also Phil and teds are about to launch the phil and teds navigator where the toddlers seat has a recline so you could put a baby in it.

There is also the phil and teds promenade. Which i havent seen yet.

I am also lost for what to buy this time. But am looking at some of the more pricey ones out there as they seem to have what we need in a double.

I have the Baby Jogger City Select and I absolutely love it. It's really great to have so many options - at the moment DS2 is still in a capsule so I can just click that on the wheels or put him in the bassinet. I particularly like that when he and DS1 are both in seats I can have them facing each other, back to back (necessary when in bad moods I think!) or same direction.

Yes it is heavier than a single but that's always going to be the way when you have two children in it. I sometimes use the BJCS as a single when DS1 is at preschool and it is almost as light and manoeverable as my bugaboo cameleon - it's just the weight of the children that makes it heavy and there's nothing you can do about that. At first I found it a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it it's really easy. It is a bit longer because of the design but I prefer that to being wider - it is no wider than our bugaboo which is great. You get used to the extra length pretty quick.

Probably my fave thing about the BJCS though is the shopping basket. Weird I know but it is incredibly spacious which is so handy when out shopping or just for storing jackets, lunchboxes etc. I got so fed up with the basket on the bugaboo because it could hardly hold anything and was really hard to access by comparison.

So I personally would highly recommend the City Select - I did loads of research before buying it and I think it's the best on the market at the moment.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

We have the Baby Jogger Citi Mini double and love it. DD was in from newborn, and DS who is 3 but about 110cm tall still fits in it (just!). Light, easy to fold, easy to push and manoeuvre and I've not come across a doorway or aisle it couldn't fit through.

I wonded what the double city mini would be like SpecialK. Mum has the single and finds it fantastic. I have also had a single for miss almost 4yrs. I will try that one. Its a good price to.

Question for you ... are the Baby City ones suitable for walking or more for around town? I mostly use mine for going out walking, normally around an hour or so.

I do loads of walking with the BJCS - I try to walk for about an hour, three times a week (attempting to lose the last of the baby weight, lol!). Mostly on paved paths/roads, so can't comment on how it would be in rough terrain, although the wheels are quite big and decent tyre treads so it should be pretty good offroad too.

Forgot to say before that it is a really easy fold, you just pull on the central bar - and you can do it without taking the seats off which is a big bonus for that style of pram.

I walk everywhere I can! The double is fine on footpaths and parks, I wouldn't take it on gravel roads and sand. I also have the BJ single classic which has pneumatic tyres - this one is great for gravel roads and beaches as well. It depends where you walk - I walk mostly to kindy/parks/shops/dr etc - up to an hour each time on normal foothpaths and it's been great.

Also - I have kids who are big for their age - 20 and 14 kg which is a LOT to push if you are doing a bit walk, so the fact that the buggy is only 10kgs or so compared to some of the other onew which are heavier makes a big diff.
