Topic: 8 weeks pregnant, No mornng sickness Posted: 06 June 2015 at 6:48am |
So I have just found out im around 8 weeks pregnant. Apart from tiredness and sore boobs, I have no sickness. Is this normal? Also have a pink tinge when I wipe after urinating for the last two days. No pain when urinating at all...Have my first doc appointment next week but till then thought I would ask others opinions.

Perfectly normal to have minimal symptoms, you may just be one of the lucky ones. A little bit of spotting is also normal in first trimester but, if you're worried, it's quite common to get an ultrasound around 7-8 weeks to confirm dates and check for a heartbeat. If the spotting becomes bleeding definately get checked out as soon as possible. Good luck.

I'm at 9 weeks and haven't had any morning sickness either. Just really tired. Sometimes I get a little bit worried about it, but I try to keep in mind that everybody's pregnancy is different, and not feeling sick is quite lucky really. Talk to your doctor or midwife if you are worried.

Sorry to hear the scan didn't go well Will you get another follow up scan? If you have any questions, ask away. Plenty of support here

No more scans needed. Baby measured 8 weeks with no sign of life. Have decided to wait it out for a week and try miscarry naturaly rather than have a d&c as my first option. Have had a tiny amount of bleeding and very slight cramping today. Hope it doesn't progress to fast as I am out of town on holiday for the next two nights!

All of my missed miscarriages take a week from the day of spotting usually.
It is different for everyone and this may not happen for you, but just be prepared for contractions, pushing and basically labour and birth but on a smaller scale.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
I recommend taking naprogesic (you can buy from any chemist) as well as ibprofen and paracetamol to dull the pain.

Oh wow... Im getting a bit scared! Is it something you would be able to deal with in a motel room? I don't wanna cancel my trip then nothing happens...

Sorry, I don't mean to scare you! But if it is that way for you, it is a bit scary for your first time when you don't know what to expect >.< That's a big 'IF'! You may just have a heavy period A motel room with a private bathroom would be fine. Not nice, if you are alone or unprepared. I would, but I've done three missed miscarriages now so I feel comfortable with what to expect. And you really have no idea when it will happen. For me my cramps would ramp up over about 4 hours into contractions. For one I actually felt the placenta and sac detach from my uterus and 'thump' when it hit the top of my cervix. After that I pushed it out over the toilet, there was the waters and blood for a couple of minutes and then it slowed down to a drip and then just stopped and I had a lightish period for a few more days. I prefer natural than getting a D&C and taking the pill. It is kind of scary as in waiting for it to happen, but my body heals faster after natural. I had a D&C on the 7th of April for my last missed miscarriage and I'm still waiting for my cycle to restart and have a period >.<

What size was the baby dating on your last scan?
Yes, depending on the size, if the sac is broken and if your body hasn't already broken down the tissue.
I still have one of mine in the freezer. Going to bury under a new tree in the spring.

Sorry, read back, 8 weeks is big enough to see, if you look. Some people prefer not to. Do what you feel comfortable with xx

Hi I miscarried a nine week foetus naturally, yes was able to see it. Maybe have a special container ready as you may want to bury it. For me the pain was like the first stages of labour, became quite intense but was able to cope at home.

So last night I had cramping that was coming every 2 minutes or so for about an hour. Then I passed quite a large clot, about the size of a golf ball. But from what I could see it was just blood. I couldn't see anything in it. Today I am still bleeding and have small clots but almost no pain?? So if It did pass I couldn't tell. It has been in there for 2 weeks at least so maybe its not so noticeable? I don't know if that was it or not?
