Well, have just had the worst xmas eve ever. ended up having a huge fight with my SIL, instead of spending xmas dinner with the family, now we will spend it by ourselves. I can't forgive her and am so upset with everything, and can't even ring my mum like I usually would cause I'm in such a mess. i'm so glad I can just type and cry att he same time. i ahte xmas. i was so close to just leaving, but it wouldnt've been fair on leiws to leave him asll by himself on xmas day. i just want to go home to my mum.

and now I've said that we will move out, but i can't see how we can afford to pay rent. it's on average $250 a month, and we only get about $400 after tax. how am i going to pay bills, and eat? And if I get a job, i'll have to stop my teaching course, even part-time cause i have six weeks teaching practice during the year. and by the time we pay for daycare, it won't be worth it. i just don't see how I'm going to get out of this. thank you for listening...well, reading actually.

Thanks so much Jax, but am unable to really have a conversation right now. That is such a sweet thing though and now you've made me cry again.

Can you move a little further out of town for cheaper rent? House-share with another family or boarder? Get accomodation supplement? It sure is tough being on a tight budget but there are a lot of choices.... and I know what you mean about part-time work and daycare, it doesn't really work out.

Hope you have a peaceful Christmas Day and are able to make some good decisions with Lewis for the New Year.

Well, our xmas day was lovely. we spent it at home and just relaxed with the kids - the "other" dinner apparently was fraught with tension and had my other sil trying to convince her partner to stay at our place. as for moving out, have decided to spite SIL and not...well, we will but after I get a job - which will be after I finish my course. Stuff her! It is actually an agreement between her parents and us, so really none of her business....still haven't takled to mum - don't wanna bitch too much in front of Lewis, but can't wait til the 29th.

thanks for all the support though - it's funny but reading all the well wisheds really DOES make me feel better!

Big hugs Liz, I'm glad Xmas day was better than Xmas Eve and that you're feeling a bit happier. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

My SIL had been bitching to everyone about how I hadn't looked after the house and the kids have toys all over the place. NOW we moved in and the house was a complete mess - tenants in for six years and just neglected. She is remembering the place from when she left and it was a LOT better, so of course blames all the dmage on us.   also doesn't have kids or any idea about how much time they take up. I confronted her and said, look if you want to know what is going on in the house (her parents house that we live in - free), just ask, and she exploded and went nuts. wouldn't listen to a word we said and then stormed out saying we weren't allowed to go to xmas at her grandmothers. Actually it was originally at ours but had been moved, much to our anger as it was really inconvient for us with the boys - but our opinion hadn;t mattered at the time. So we weren;ttoo concerned when she said that! asd above, we stayed home and had a lovely eralxing time while everyone at the "official" dinner was rather uncomfortable.

Not sure what is going on now, especialy with everyone being so concerned with the kids, but she hasn't probably apologised, and, to tell the truth, without her there it is a lot more relaxing, so while I was upset at first, a godsend in retrospect!

vdssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

that was zaara expressing her opinion on the matter.....

Any way....1st thing first, who the h%$# is she to tell you that you are not allowed at her grandparents? They are also Lewis's Grantparents.....you should have just turned up...he he ha ha that would really piss her off.

Please excuse me but she sounds like a real Biatch!! I am so glad that I dont have a SIL.

Have your inlaws say any thing about the house? I presume that it is their house...so why is SIL jumping up and down about it?? arrggg....If it was me, I would have slapped her!! or worse......

Dont mind me....I am in my evil phase again!

I say ignore SIL...she is not worth your time....

My parents in law knew all about what state the house was in cause we told them when we moved in and their words were

"do as much as you can, but don't stress, we'll do the majority when we come at xmas"

If you've read another post, I'm not too fond of L's Nana either (favouring Taine over Jake in a blatant manner) so I wasn't too worried about not going in the end.

Have also decided next xmas we wil say to everyone, this is what WE are doing, join us if you like. Rather than them trying to make us fit into their plans - which incidentally change every two minutes.

SILs suck! What a nasty little wench (note my use of non-swear words that are now having to be used!). It must be a nasty SIL gene that makes them unreasonable, illogical nut cases. Glad to hear that you had a nice Christmas and feel better about things now. I've had a nasty blow up with my SIL in the past and I felt pretty similar to you after it happened but now its great! Everyone knows we dislike (non PC version- hate each others *#&@$! guts!) each other so we don't have to see much of each other or talk when we are somewhere together. Its so much better
