My son really ceases to amaze me. He really will do things in his own time it just so happened when we were in Fiji of all things and not a moment before.

All the times we have tried to put him to be unwrapped and do you think he would settle - the answer is simply "no".

Well in Fiji we were sharing a room with him and before going to bed we would check on him and sometimes he had his wrap and safety sleep up around his neck and it didn't look flash. We thought this might have been caused by his sleeping bag but then one night we just put him in his body suit and the same thing happened. It didn't seem to bother him and he seemed to be able to settle himself back to sleep if his arms woke him up. Of course before we went to bed we had to sort him out and we just put the safety sleep around his waist with his arms out.

Anyway when we got home we took the bull by the horns and flagged the wrapping and he settled straight away (and the first trail was a nighttime), he even slept the whole night - yippee. That was my biggest concern that it might interfere with him sleeing through, but alas it did not. Three out of four day sleeps he has settled so pretty happy with that.

Next will be weaning that safety sleep - hmmm could be interesting.

Yay! Glad it's working out so well for you.

When we were up north both of mine managed to wriggle down inside their safety sleeps so that the safety sleeps were up over their faces. I figured out that it was because the safety sleeps didn't sit as tight over the thin portacot matresses and so bunched up. Once I pinned them to the matress we didn't have any more probs.

I'm starting to wonder whether or not to 'wean' Erin off her safety sleep or not... a few times now we have found her turned over on her tummy when she has woken up from a nap, even when I've tried to tuck it around her as tightly as possible. This is also most often when she is already inside her sleeping bag. *sigh*

We so had to do something as it looked so awful with the wrap and the safety sleep up around his neck. No problems with safety sleep getting up there now. I suppose my next problem will be what you are experiencing Jax.

There is no harm in trying to wean her Jax, I think I would try the same.
