Topic: We braved the WCC cloth nappy launch... Posted: 11 March 2007 at 4:01pm |
And what a great, well organised event! They had a story teller, free juice and music for the older kiddies, which kept Miss Maya entertained, and of course lots and lots of cloth nappies!
I won a spot prize of two print HH's (I think just for having twins!) and just as we were leaving I won a door prize of a $250 nappy voucher! So the gremlins now have even more nappies than before! Not that we're complaining... They had their photo taken about 1000 times too - who knows where the pics are going to end up
The highlight of the day would have to be when I had the gremlins lying on a blanket on the floor in little dresses and gorgy candy striped Ecobubs wool pockets and one of the WCC Councillors came and asked me if I actually use cloth nappies - no lady, I'm just here for the free stuff

Yup it was an awesome time!! We won a spot prize of the a swim nappy and a pass to west wave which was great. Oh and some cloth wipes.
Emma did so well with her winnings!!!!
Toni did look totally flat out, I almost felt like I should have jumped behind the stand and given you guys a hand...not that there was much room! At least I got to introduce myself to Charity and Stephanie.
It was also great to see so many people there!!

Wow what cool spot prizes. If we had one in Palmy i'd go along just to have a good look at them and the different brands.

I must admit I did feel a little guilty winning the voucher - I soooo don't need converting, if someone who had never tried MCNs had won it they would have ended up with heaps of cool stuff and it might have made them seriously consider using them permanently. But I still had fun spending!

That would be me Emma. I'd been keen to use them but would want to go somewhere like that to see all the different brands in one place. And if I was given a spot prize of one then that would be a good start to get someone like me to try them out.

I'd already decided that if I had won a large voucher like that before I went that I was getting a couple for myself and the rest would be gifted to various charity and community projects TNN are doing at the moment.
Anyway, to be fair to you, you do have twins so more nappies must always be a good thing! Especially gorgeous Berry Plush which those girls of yours so suit!!

WOW was today crazy or what!!! I think I'll be rambling on about microfibre pocket inserts and stay dry linings in my sleep LOL
We even had my DH in the crowd that was continuously around our table giving out brochures etc
We were so incredibly busy but thats a very very good thing! Got heaps more demos booked and lots of people who will call me as soon as bubs has "popped out" (strange way of putting it but a popular explaination by many preggy chicks today! LOL)
Charity and I finally finished clearing up and sorting out our stuff at about 6pm before she had to fly home.
and the best bit for us.... MY MUM won a $250 voucher for nappies too! LMAO
I've given that to my friend who is due in June as a baby gift
and..... we get to do it all again next Saturday
See ya there Paws

Palmy ladies - there are a few nappicinos on this week being real nappy week. Churchyard Cafe (from 2pm) today. There is also another one at Churchyard and 2 at another cafe but I can't remember the details - I saw the poster at Warehouse Stationary yeterday! Will email the organiser and find out for you.
