Topic: How do you get your mail? Posted: 06 April 2007 at 8:59am |
Just wondering what mode of transport your mail person uses to deliver your mail?
In Otorohanga they use scooters lol. It cracks me up as there are only 3000 peps in our town. We must have fat/lazy mail men/women here.

These guys are NZ Post. Dont think we have Petes here.
And the NZ Courier Van sits at the end of my Road(coz there is a post box there)for over 1/2hr sleeping, eating whatever it is before collection at 4pm. I think hes got it cruisy too.
Whats worse is i still gotta go to the post shop to pick up nz post parcels and the courier parcels are just left at the front door with no knock to tell me.

Pushbike or on foot. I live up a steep hill and I could never ride my bike the whole way up it due to the gradient and curve of the road.

I think we have a walker here... and I'm not suprised as riding a bike up this hill would be a horrible experience even for the fittest of people.
And yeah, the post office is just down the road.

Our mailwoman rides what looks like a 50cc motorbike (bit bigger than a scooter)... yeah, Ohakune is a little spread out, but with only 1500 full-time residents you'd think she'd be able to cope with a pushbike!

Letters and small packages come on a pushbike, but they have a van come around once a day with the bigger packages.

A bright red dusty station wagon - we're rural delivery. Our mail at work gets delivered and picked up by a person on a scooter though (NZ Post). Suppose there are a fair few businesses in the Hamilton CBD, to give him credit.
