Topic: So nervous! Posted: 02 May 2007 at 7:22pm |
DH is on the job hunt and he got his first (2007) job interview this afternoon. "They" said they were happy with the interview (his responses and skills) and they are going to contact the referees provided by everyone on their shortlist (obviously that includes my DH) tomorrow, and he should hear back from them tomorrow afternoon. Which is pretty cool, cause that's a very quick turnaround!
Anyway, we're really hoping he gets the job but at the same time the mix of emotions is driving me a little insane - getting hopes up, then trying not to, then excited, then nervous...... arggghhhhh!

I hate job interviews esp the waiting.
I had heaps last year when I was looking at getting back into the workforce but got pregnant again lol.
Keeping all fingers crossed for him to get the job

oh yea, my dh is going through that at the moment too, its really hard not getting our hopes up too much - it all comes down to the $$$ they can offer. he has an interview tomorrow to go through the details - so sounds like he has the job if he wants it, and if the pay is up to scratch.
So i know we will both be nervous as anything tomorrow! good luck to your dh for his job :)

Man men can get us stressed aye! Mine resigned from his job about 4 months ago now before getting a new one , was so stressful, we had our own cleaning business which we sold a couple of years ago and he ended up working for the person who brought it off us well she ended up being not to great to work for and I supose it was hard for him to work for someone from being on his own for 3 years, then to have to answer to someone especially a women LOL !!! Well he was with her for 18 months which surprised me, He is now doing forklift/warehouse work something completely diff and is loving it and the wages are better and he works less hours so has worked out great for us! A happy man in the house makes for a happy home!!!! hehe
Good luck hope it all happens for you and if is not this one then the right one will come up.

Good luck for your DH!!
We were going through this just a few months ago, but thankfully didn't take too long for my DP to find a job. He was off for a month (Drove me batty).
He had one really good interview here in Hamilton while we were in Thames. He took the afternoon off, drove all the way over here, had a really promising interview, where they even wrote down my due-date so they could organise time off for him when baby was born. He left feeling very confident as they told him they really liked him. Less than two days later we get a one line letter in the post saying 'you were unsuccessful in your application'. That was it. I was really angry and I nearly rang them up and had a preggy fit at them but thought better of it.
He got a good job somewhere else in the end though.
So yeah, it's tomorrow afternoon now!!

Oh my gosh how nerve racking, what I hate is that they say they gonna get back to you either way and then they don't this happened to my dh a couple of weeks ago he had an interview and they said either way they would let him know and we still have not heard

I'm just glad it wasn't going to be another week of waiting (which is more common). Has your DH tried phoning the company?
