Topic: Okay another weird question. How often do Posted: 09 May 2007 at 10:39am |
you change the sheets on your bed?
Had this question on another forum and it actually made me think of how often I change it. So just wondering if I am really that way out.

Once a week sometimes, then sometimes once a fortnight. Not much going on in my bed at the moment, so usually fornightly..

Ours get changed fortnightly and it's only that regular because I now have paid help to do it! I prefer the girls' beds changed once a week (nappies at night) but don't always get around to doing the second week (by myself).

I change our sheets every week. Same as Tyrell every week, I have to do 2 sets for him...home and day care. How do people manage to do it more than once a week....I was a bit worried that I was abnormal.

lol, i am for fortnightly but usually ends up being monthly-ish to be totally honest.. granted, the kids only sleep in their beds at nights, not during day etc as they are at daycare.. but pillowcases etc get changed more, and ayja's sheets get changed more too cos she sometimes wet's thru. but every second day.. wholly crap. that's a whole lotta time and washing!!
I mean come on, if you're showering before bed/bathing kids before bed.. and changing jammies pretty much every second day.. how dirty can your bed get (ok i know all the dustmite theories but hey)

I think I might have to take the fifth on this one.
I suppose all you guys answered. Okay if we are lucky I change it every second week. But mostly every third week or so or when I feel they feel ick or something. We dont eat in bed. McKayla is mostly dry at night so it stays clean. Plus we shower ect at night.

I would like to say fortnightly for our bed but its probably more like every 3 or 4 weeks. I always have good intentions of changing them but I get distracted and forget and DH just doesn't think to do it.
Every 2nd day is mad!! Our neighbours seem to have sheets on the line once or twice a week which I think is nuts. Their washing machine seems to be on constantly lol.. surely they have better things to do with their lives than washing.. or maybe they don't

Phew, glad to hear I'm not the only one on this!! I try for every 1-2 weeks, but usually ends up more like 3ish weeks I just forget and I make the bed as soon as I get up, so once its made its forgotten about.
Every 2 days! Shirena, I think THEY not you are the abnormal ones.

Have any of you noticed that once you have a male in your bed you have to change the sheets more? And no, not for the "obvious" reasons. Men are just....grottier. Must be those "man things" that eomachine hinted at in the towels thread
