Topic: What movies to you watch again and again? Posted: 29 June 2007 at 11:29pm |
Oh dear, it's 11pm already, I should be in bed.
Never mind.
I am blatantly ripping off Renee here , the music post has inspired me. What are the movies that you can watch over and over again? I love movies of all kinds, but to list the ones I like is impossible, so instead I want to know what movies you just keep coming back to.
For me, it's a lot of childhood movies with some more serious/film fest movies thrown in for when I'm in a meloncholy mood, and anything with a good soundtrack!
Labyrinth, Empire Records, Dirty Dancing, Grease, The Princess Bride, Singin' in the Rain, Garden State, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Dazed & Confused, Existenz, La Vita e Bella, Sound of Music, 10 Things I Hate About You, Romeo + Juliet (1996 version), Strictly Ballroom, Moulin Rouge (bit of a Baz Luhrmann fan), Ever After...
Hmmm, maybe this wasn't such a quick exercise after all! Must go to bed, may update more tomorrow.

Im also a sound of music fan and when someone lets me I know all the words...how sad is that...cant wait till I have a little one to introduce to it....then it will be ok again.
also love Love Always, Meet Joe Black (even though I have gone off Brad Pitt lately he is sooooooooooooooooooooo hot in that), LOTR (but only a couple of times...too long and I am too impatient these days)
thats all for now but I am sure there are heaps of others.

LMAO Lyla -*starts singing*....there was a man from nottinghood, who tried to cross a river....., I recall watching that movie several times!!!!!
Mine would have to be Braveheart (can't believe it - sucker for punishment - I still cry EVERYTIME), Shawshank redemption, Cheech and chong - hehehe, and those old school movies - Labyrinth, Sound of music, Grease, Dirty Dancing and willie Wonka and Chocolate Factory (the old version) - these ones I have watched over and over again but haven't seen them in a looong time.
There must be more - but still waking up.
ETA a couple more
