Topic: KMART toy sale Posted: 03 July 2007 at 9:15pm |
ok, so i am betting i know the answer to this but has anyone go the catalogue for this yet? we have not and it starts tomorrow night (well thursday morning at 1 minute past midnight.. lol) online catalogue finishes tomorrow so toy one isn't on there, dammit. they cut it fine don't they.
we went in today and scoped out a few things as they have everything out now, and have picked out what we want to get, just waiting on prices. they have some really neat stuff there. lots of little mommy dolls and accessories for little girls.
so, first to get the catalogue... post here, lol.

ha ha ha...sooo i guess maybe mike might be seeing you there tomorrow night or are you not that crazy?
have my eye on the little mommy dolls highchair and playgym set.. (kids constantly fight over the tiny highchair we have.. which does not fit any other dolls than the littl emommy one sin it)
and the climbing frame.
ha ha, mike wants a tramp, but we now have no yard room for one, dammit. and the little ones are like .. too little.
only other thing is maybe some inline skates for paris if they have her size.. i like that the dora ones come with knee, elbow and wrist pads.. i think she'd need them. lol
what you have your eye on nic?

Not really sure what I am getting yet might get miss m some doll stuff she loves her babies at the mo and her dora stroller gets fought over her brother quite likes to push his soft toys around in it lol!!
Braedon is into spider man so might get him some of those and he loves the Cars movie stuff such a big decision and we are not buying lots of toys this year as they have too many ... famous last words!!

mmmm climbing stuff. Was cool but hubby not falling for that yet. Also not falling for the little Vespa. He wants that dollhouse but we will get thta next year for her. Kitchen I love but wont get right now. Too much for right now. Love the inflatable jumping thing. Might go get that.
So seems just going to get the inflatable jumping thing.
Is their loads of people there at midnight? Do the stock go really quickly? Or just certain stuff?

he he, yeah apart from those couple of things i wasn't terribly impressed. when we went in today the dolls stuff is out already, at the same price as the catalogue, however i am guessing xmas layby terms begin when the sale does otherwise would chuck em down tomorrow. when you look at it compared to prices at the warehouse one it's not great.. most things at Kmart are $10 to $15 or more dearer than what they are on sale for at the warehouse.
i did however talk to the lady at the layby counter here in palmy today who told me that if you already have a kmart layby card, then they will be having 2 checkouts up the front of the store to process layby-card-holders laybys to make it quicker than having to line up in the queue with all the others. I like that idea.. cos we have a card, he he.

Shirena.. Mike found last year that there were loads more people there at midnight than there were the years beforehand when the sale started at 7am in the morning.
it's crazy the amount of people that go.. i guess staying up a couple more hours doesn't seem so bad, but at 7am most people are getting ready for work/just getting up/ and it's a bit more complicated.
usually the bigger stuff goes pretty quick. not last year but the one before we got the girls a cubby house, they only had about 7 of em out so that was the first thing mike went for.. got a trolley and got that first.(we went and scoped out the day before how many of each thing there were so knew what to go for first.. ok i am not called crazy-sale-lady by one of my sisters for nothing.. lol)

Okay so went and gone and looked. Should definately not have gone at all. It was busy with people just looking at toys. They also havent unpacked the jumping pod yet and dont know where they will place it.
mmmm loved the small climbing things for kids. But I think she will outgrow it way too much plus we literally live half a block away from the playpark.
Trikes I will look at later.
So now how many of you guys are going to the Botany Kmart at 12 tonight in Auckland?\

I went in at 9am and got the peek-a-boo block train that I wanted to buy for Josh for his birthday. Its wasn't all that busy at that time. I spoke with one of the chickys that was working there and told me that they had sold out of a few of the bigger items and a few dolls. I wasn't worried about dolls so that didn't worry me.
