Has anyone elses baby had a reaction to treasures nappies?

I bought them for the first time as they were on special for a really good price and had her first one on after lunch today.

about an hour and a half after it went on she was screaming and gasping - a really horrid sound. When we checked her nappy the whole area of skin that would have been in contact with the wet nappy was bright red!

She hasnt had any other changes today - is this likely to be a one off or should i return the second unopened pack?

I would return the second pack of nappies if it was me. You could always try out one more on her but keep a close eye on it and see if it happens again. if it does i would contact the company as well as returning the second packet.

Thanks - i think that is what we have decided to do - try one more tomorrow in case it was something else and watch her like a hawk and then assess the returning of the second packet

It may have been a coinidence but we will know for sure tomorrow

It may be the treasures, though if she hasn't been an extra sensitive skin baby so far it may just be an anomaly.

We've been quite lucky (so far) with DS, he hasn't had that much nappy rash or anything.

Then all of a sudden the other day he woke up with a bright red rash all over his belly from the nappy line down. We creamed and used water wipes for the day and it cleared up.
Hasn't happened again since.
I wondered if it was a combo of urine and what I'd feed him that day.

I wouldnt risk trying them again if its never happened with another brand.
The treasures helpline is really good- the number is on the pack. We had a problem with a faulty batch and they gave us replacements and extras and were really good.

Did she eat something different, or if u are bf did u eat something different that may have made her wee acidic? (sorry I dont know how old she is).

I notice when Lily uses treasures she gets a red patch in between her bum crack IYGWIM? It never bothers her, as she never protests, but just something I noticed. Only ever happens with the Treasures nappies - Ultra or Giggles. And I apply a truck load of Zinc cream to her bum.

If it is bothering your DD I wouldn't try using them again!
