So I make this really yummy chocolate slice and I've taled about it in the confessions thread so I thought I'd share the recipe.

Chocolate slice

170g butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 dessert spoon of golden syrup
3/4 cup coconut (shredded or dessicated)
1 1/2 cups flour
2 dessert spoons of cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 cup rice bubbles

Preheat oven to 180C
Melt butter, brown sugar and golden syrup together in a bowl. Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder together. Pour in melted ingredients and add coconut and rice bubbles. Mix well. Press into a cake tin lined with baking paper.
Bake for 20 minutes.
While still hot top with chocolate icing.

And my chocolate icing recipe. Good on the lips, bad on the hips

Chocolate Icing

1 cup icing sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
25g butter
drop of vanilla essence

Chop butter into small pieces and add to other ingredients in a bowl. Add just enough boiling water to form a smooth consistency.
Carefully top chocolate slice with the icing. Some of the icing will melt. Leave slice to cool.

I normally make this slice in a 20cm cake tin.

Enjoy
