Going to be checky, and see if anyone here has an old vodafone they no longer need, and want to give it to me.

I want to go back to Vodafone due to a number of reasons the main being privacy as someone has my Telecom number and the txts aren't harrassing enough to warrant anything being done about it. I did hope that ignoring the txts would work but he is still going strong with them every night. They are sweet but when I am trying to make an effort to safe my marriage they are something I don't need.

So if you do, talk to me and see what we can do. It does mean that I will get a new number and for those that are on here that have my telecom number I will give you my new vodafone number to still keep in contact with me.

You know that you can just get your telecom number changed.

Go into a telecom store and ask for it to be changed. I dont think it costs anything and you get to keep the phone. You just have to tell everyone the new number.

I may have an old one kicking around somewhere.
I'll have a look for it tonight and give it a charge up, see if it still goes

Did you need the sim or the phone?

I had a spare phone but found out the other day when mine died it wouldn't charge any more

I did look at changing my number but looking at the different contracts and comparing them, vodafone was looking the best for me. Also means I can keep my telecom phone and put it onto prepaid and then change the number that way.

I only need a phone as going onto a new contract they should give me a new sim.

Not sure if this is of any help but when coming to nz I called my USA provider and said I was going to NZ for 3 months and want to be able to use my US phone over here as a pre-pay. They gave me some codes and step by step instructions on how to unlock my phone. It is relative to each provider and phone so no use giving you my instructions and code. I can now use my phone with any provider. The point of this post is they can unlock them and if you explain that you are heading overseas and not wanting to get charged huge rates whilst over there then maybe they will do it for you. I was warned though that you only get three attempts before it becomes permanently locked to the original provider so don't try any codes etc off the internet.

You might find since the market is so competitive out there now with 2degrees Vodafone may have aplan that you can get a phone with if you lock in for 2years. Mum and I both just resigned our contracts she opted for the extra minutes I opted for a new phone, it is normally a nokia with basics, pxt, camera, 3g its not top of the line but its not crapy crap either

Sorry, I was meant to look for a phone for you. I forgot
Looks like it's sorted, though.
