When do babies finds their thumbs????
Just wondering as Alize is trying really hard to suck his thumb, but gets frustrated as he only manages to get his fist to his mouth and doesnt know how to open his hand to get his thumb.
He has got it a few times but loses it while flailing his arms around

Mine occasionally find their thumbs, but mostly just suck furiously and frustratedly on their fists.

Not all babies find it. Hannah found her fingers at 2 weeks but Briona was never a suckler until we got her a dummy at about 10 weeks. Krysti sucks her fists when she's hungry.

Thanks guys. Maybe its a baby thing and he will either find the thumb or fingers or just give up when hes older.

Joshie was trying to suck his thumb from about 2 days old, but didn't really get the hang of it til he was about 8 weeks old. He still sucks his thumb, but mostly now when he is very tired. Looks soooooo cute

They do look cute when they are sucking their thumbs fingers etc. Alize got it tonight and managed to suck for a good 5minutes before he ripped it out of his mouth , started whaling  and trying to get the whole fist back in
