As my last baby was a summer baby and this one is due in Sept, not really sure on what sort of clothing I will need for it.
Have got plenty of all in ones. What about the bodysuits that go underneath, would I need long or short sleeved ones? Also wondering if I would need many little cardies etc.

we had 2 may babies. we have a long sleeve siglet, then a wool singlet over top and a stretch n grow. we have 3 of each for each size and we get through fine. we have a couple of thicker stretch and grows for going out and add hats, mittens and a blanket. full sleepsuit to put over top if its really cold out. we live in wellington so have nasty wind chill but the temp isnt as bad as down south.

It will be hard to know in advance, cos weather can be so different to what u expect. ISla was a mid-oct baby and only worn a cardi home from hosital cos mum had made it specially for that,... then she lived in short sleeved bodysuits day and night, and hardly ever needed much more than that til the following winter.
Aiden was born 10th Jan this year, so we thought he would be living in the short sleeve bodysuits too,...it was in fact so freezing and yuk for the first 3 weeks of his life that we had to go out and buy him hepas warmer stuff and even had to have the heater on a few times for him!

I've got two Sept babies born within two days of each other.

In the early days; I used to dress #3 in AIO singlet and a sleeper with something warm over that, if the weather was cold. If it wasn't I'd just wrap him in a blanket.

As he got older I would still have him in a AIO singlet and maybe socks with pants and a L/sleeve top. He was wrapped until he was 2.5mths.

Sept babies are great

We had a September baby and it was still pretty cold - we had the fire going most days/nights for a month but we do live in Wellington.

We had DD in a short sleeve cotton onsie, a wool singlet, an all in one or nightie and then often during the day or when we went out in a wool cardy aswell. At night we just wrapped over the 3 layers (so no cardy)

We ended up buying quite a few wool cardys (or people knitting them) and she wore one everyday for the first month.

My eldest was a september baby, & since then I've had a january, a november, an august, & I'm expecting another november baby. I think layers that are easy to take off & put back on are probably really important, eg a singlet/bodysuit, a sleepsuit, & then say a cardi &/or booties. Hats & mittens are good that time of year, especially in the crispy spring winds! Easy to take off when you get inside.
