Topic: Brother BM2600 Sewing Machine Posted: 14 July 2010 at 11:15am |
My old sewing machine has just had a hissy fit (probably from years of neglect lol). The latest Spotlight mailer had this machine advertised at half price. Has anyone got this? What's it like? I just want to do basic stuff like take up jeans/pants, sew inserts for nappies, maybe make some nappies etc. Any feedback would be great. TIA

I don't have that particular model, I have a Brother NX-600, which I find great, had it for three years so far, it gets a lot of use, & haven't had any problems with it.

Hi Rovic, I have had that machine for about 5 years now. It's been great for all the things you have described (in fact have just been making nappies!). I have also used it for curtains so it copes with heavier stuff too.

I have the BM2600 machine and it rocks! I have had it for 4 years with no problems at all!
I have made loads of stuff for example, cloth nappies, curtains, bean bags, costumes for dress up parties and the list goes on!
I've certainly had my money's worth out of it already

I have one aswell, and the only issue I have with it is it keeps unthreading but I think thats my issue not its lol. I got it a couple of months ago and lately its being used for at least 4-5hours a day without issue!
