Topic: Im so excited!! Posted: 24 January 2007 at 4:28pm |
I just got an offer today from a publisher to publish a book I've written, and Im so excited . When I saw the envelope in the mail box I thought it was a rejection letter as it looked like they had returned my manuscript. I started reading the letter and suddenly realalised it was an acceptance letter. THe Book is called Finding Hope and is about my experiences of PND.
If you want a look at part of it you can go to http://www.toowrite.com/toowrite_story.asp?sid=7799
I've turned one section of it into a short story and entered it into a competition. Feel free while you are there to cast a vote for it.
I'm just so happy, it feels so unreal, it's so cool

Amazing story but sad that something so natural can effect ppl in that way. I have a friedn who has PND and is thinking of having another baby so gave me more of an insight of how she is feeling as it is hard for someone who hasn't had it to totally understand.
Congrats on getting it published ... Well done lets hope your story helps others.

Oh Lou, what a fantastically written story! So sad that is the true story of what you've been through, but hopefully one that will help and inspire other Mums struggling with PND.
Congratulations! I'll definitely be looking for it once its published.

Thanks for your support - As exciting as it is I'm still deciding whether or not to take the offer. They only pay part of the printing costs and I pay the rest - price quoted $9850 . I've asked them some questions and are now waiting for them to get back to me. Will keep you undated on what I decide

Oh my thats very powerfull, its funny ey you dont think things would be able to get to the point were you would want to take your own life but its one of those things that maybe goes to far before you even really realise then its to late by that stage.
Thank you so much for sharing and im really glad you have come through it and its all up from here, did you have any thing with your first, and did you doctors have any advise for you.
This is one thing that does worrie me and i hope if it was to happen i would have the support i need but as i can clearly see support is not really of much help either
Well done love your a strong lady
