Does anyone have any recommendations on books for raising boys - I've read Raising Boys by Steve ? We're having behaviour problems with our 3 year old and was hoping to get an insight into the world of boys for some guidence
I'm not sure about the boys thing in particular - i read that book too and to tell the truth, didn't find it all that helpful, but have just started Toddler Taming and am LOVING it. very insightful and I am finding it helping me cope with the boys on rough days, even after only three chapters. so can recommend that thoroughly,.....and it's available on OhBabyonline store!
I have growing great men i think it is called, by Ian someone...I dont want it so if you want to PM you address ill send it to you! Im not a big reader!
Awesome book written by Celia Lashlie but don't know the title. Its more directed at teenage boys but great at ubderstanding them. As a teacher of boys....I love it and she did great research at a number of boys schools around New Zealand.
i would recommend the cecilia lashlie one and any of the books written by the grants - ian and wife?
Also try this site - it can assist with a lot of information etc from there on boys etc...
www.manalive.org.nz
but dont do what i did when i forgot the link and type in www.manalive.co.nz - nearly peeed myself when i saw what came up on that one....was not the link i wanted...well not today maybe?
Yeah that other book is called Growing Great Boys by Ian Grant. We were given a copy by my mother in law (who raised 3 boys on her own). I haven't read it all yet but she reckons it's got some great tips in it.
Thanks for the options....my three and a half year old is changing from a happy contented boy to a naughty boy that I don't know so am hoping for some guidence.
