Storage space

in the spare room you could get a wardrobe kit from mitre 10 mega/bunnings, like a free standing ward robe/cupbpard to put the extra stuff into.

or put up some shelves/get a book case and get some plastic storage box things and store stuff in the garage.

we find having under bed storage boxes fantastic as we have a slat bed, i put my summer clothes under bed and it solved the issue of too many clothes not enough draws/wardrobe space.
and i also have a small book case from the warehouse that was 2 for 20 with 3 cubby areas in it, to store shoes nicely, and it tidy's up the wardrobe as it leaves more room for storage for my course notes and box of medical/bathroom stuff (creams, lotions, band aids, hair sprays, shampoos etc that done get used often enough)

We bought some of those vacuum packs and we store winter clothes in summer and summer clothes in winter out in the garage. I'm a minimalist, so every now and then I have a clear out - anything that we haven't used in the last 6months to a year gets chucked

We use those white clip up storage boxes from the warehouse too. They get put in the garage and we put the vacuum packs in there.

No help, but we have the same problem, so watching with interest

We have the same problem! When I win Lotto I want a house with so much storage I won't know what to do with it LOL A walk in wardrobe, cupboards and closets galore, built in everything... drool hehe
I think the best solution is to get rid of as much stuff you don't use as you can, store anything you rarely use in garage, under the house or even in a shed (I totally fail at this, I don't know where all the crap comes from!)
Like someone else suggested underbed storage is useful, those cheap shelves from warehouse are awesome we have heaps, stack them, turn them sideways even use them in the wardrobe!
Do you know anyone handy who could add some organizer type things to your closet? Some of those storage things can be really expensive for what you get... a bit of metal or plastic!
Hmm I love baskets, chests are good for storing linen and can double as a table, add hooks to backs of doors

We have a lack of storage too- 3bd house & there are 6 soon to be 7 of us. We got the 9cube cubby shelves from warehouse stationery & stacked them two high (secured to wall) so they are floor to almost ceiling, then bought plastic storage cubes from warehouse to put in them. They hold an amazing amount of stuff- clothes, toys, linen, junk etc. We've sold all our drawers & just have two sets of floor to ceiling cubes in each bedroom. & there's still room for shoeboxes etc on top of them.
