Topic: Whoops.. Not again! Posted: 28 February 2007 at 1:07pm |
Had my second antenatal bloods done this morning, so I had to drink that godawful glucose drink.
I SHOULD have had breakfast before I went, but since I didn't, I ended up throwing up, on the medlab lady, while she was taking my blood. Poor lady, at least she congratulated me on waiting for the whole hour to do it because she managed to take all the blood she needed.
I say not again, because about a month ago I threw up on the dentist while he was trying to take my tooth out.
But that time I had breakfast, much to the delight of the dentists nurse who had to fish the chunky bits out of the spit sink. (sorry TMI).
Just thought I would share with you all.

LOL That drink is bad enough anyway without an empty stomach
Apparently it used to be far worse - thick and syruppy or something. Gross!

Least my results came back all good.
But still. I feel so embarrassed, as I've thrown up on people before, and never while being intoxicated. Always when genuinely sick.
At intermediate I got motion sickness on the school bus and POWER chucked three seats ahead onto a poor form one girl who accidentally mistook the day for mufti day so was wearing her best dress.
I think I must have a sensitive stomach, as I do it at the worst times, and always when I've had some sort of funny drink, or medication.

How awful eomachine throwing up on people!
I've only ever thrown up on myself - & like you on a school bus whilst coming back from a school trip when I was 11!! I was sitting in the very back seat, feeling very and managed to quietly throw up on my lap, then found a magazine lying on the floor in front of me which I covered it up with. I didn't know what too do, was too embarressed! Until kids around me started to say "POO, what's that smell???, smells like vomit" Then they all looked at me & I sheepishly said "I've been sick " I had to get changed into someone else's P.E. clothes & sit up the front by myself for the rest of the trip.
Since being sick with MS I've thrown up whilst walking along a main road - so all the cars traveling along would've seen me throwing up on the curb, NOT NICE!!

I was getting pretty bad car sickness early on in the pregnancy and DH and I were travelling from Wanaka to Queenstown over the crown range (if anyone knows it) for my first scan.
I started feeling sick, DH hands me a plastic bag and carries on driving. I end up vomiting in the plastic bag and DH doesnt even pull over. I had to hang on to the plastic bag full of vomit all the way to Queenstown.
When I talked to DH later on about it, he said it didnt even cross his mind to pull over so I could be sick. MEN!!!
