Does anyone else have this problem with their child?

My DF has 2 kids from a previous marriage and we have them every weekend; every Saturday and every other Saturday and Sunday. Clodagh loves them and gets very excited when they visit. Which is great. EXCEPT every time, her routine is thrown out, depsite our (my) best efforts to keep to it. Even if DF takes the other kids out most of the day (which isn't the best solution), its like she knows something is different...and so is more hyper, less wanting to sleep and much harder to put down and much more prone to wake. I'm sure it's something to do with Daddy being home too IYKWIM?

Is there anything I can do to try and overcome this or just ride with it? Having had her sleep in our bed the last 3 nigths- and been really restless doing so but refusing to sleep in her cot- I'm getting a bit over it all and stressed with the thought we're gonna have a newborn to add to the mix in 12 weeks!

It's like every week we have a decent-ish routine in place, then come Saturday and Sunday it falls to pieces- esp at night- and it takes us till Tues or so till we're back on track!

I have no advice because Taylah is the same every weekend too when her dad is home.

She is always excited & refuses to go to sleep half the time I think its just because it isnt there normal day.

I tend to just go with the flow now, if i stress about it i get angry & frustrated & then dd gets like that too. I generally try a few times but if she wont go down i just leave her to it.

I know what you mean about having Clodagh in your bed, Taylah has been sharing our bed on & off for a few weeks now DP can sleep fine but i never get a good nights sleep. Taylah moves around so much, this morning she actually climbed onto me & feel asleep laying on me I was so tied but i just had to laugh or else id cry lol
