If you could choose just one. What would it be?? There are so many. I've tired a Natures sway sling and a moby and like neither. Love these new printed things Becco, Ergo, manduca, babyhawk....!! But which one to choose.
What have you got, why did you get that one and not another??

As you know, I have the moby and Manduca and tried the D&V sling and if I had to choose my favourite, it would be the Manduca. Easy to use, Tom loves it, can be used from newborn to 20kg and be used back and front, comfortable (have had it on for 4-5 hrs and it was great) and it looks good

I have a moby, pouch sling and a manduca.
I would choose manduca over the others it's comfortable easy to use and versatile. Plus DP will use it too

I have a moby and manduca. Defiantly the manduca, so easy to use, DD just sits there silent, and she will even sleep (a miracle!)

I'll throw in a vote for the Ergo Performance Very light weight. Front, back and hip carry positions. So easy to use. It has a cool little hood (hidden in a pocket) that you can use if they fall asleep or it starts to rain.
The moby is very comfy, but is no where near as quick to use.

We have a Moby, an Ergo and a Kozy.
Out of those three I would choose the Kozy as it is the most versatile. It's easiest and most comfortable for me to wear

I chose the Manduca as I found that fit me better than the Beco I tried so if you can maybe try a couple on...

I've tried most brands and types of carrier, and have to say I absolutely *adore* my Manduca. I've had an Ergo, used it heaps with DD1 but she was a toddler when we had it and thus bigger - DD1 is much smaller and I found it didn't fit us as nicely as the Manduca does (personal thing there though).
I'm also a fan of the Kozy meitai, which is an asian style carrier with straps - very versatile as Delli has mentioned and comes in lots of pretty prints. There are a couple of different ABC styles / brands out there but IME the Kozy rates tops.
The Moby is good when they're quite little, IMO best from 0-6mo depending on size - after this I personally found that a woven wrap was of better use, it is a much firmer fabric (no stretch) and felt more supportive. They're also fabulous for back carries if you're up to learning that kind of thing.
And last but not least, pouch slings - LOVE my Unido pouch, so pretty and the best for very quick trips (ie: in and out of kind)... and is also the most compact when folded / rolled up. I never got the hang of cradle carry but it is awesome for hip carries from about 5/6mo plus.
Ring slings I can't personally lend much experience to as I never really got the hang of adjusting the rails properly - but I know some people adore them and favor them over pouch slings for the very reason that they are adjustable to different body shapes / heights / sizes etc.

Yeah im 6-8 so quite little and about 157cms tall.
I tried the becco butterfly cos i liked the fact that even if you unbuckled the baby they were still in the harness making it easier to transfer to others. but found the harness bit too long for me.
Hence why I went Manduca cos there is no harness, much the same as to what the new gemini is I think...?

I love my pouch slings for what I use them for (quick trips to the shops or picking up DD from kindy). On my wishlist is a manduca and a non-stretchy wrap.

I have a woven wrap (well it's in the post) but borrowed one and DD (over 6 months) is comfy in it plus it's comfy for me and was the only one I could get in a big enough size to fit DP (I'm size 8, 50kg 160cm tall) (Dp 4XL 140kg, 195cm tall) it's so much comfier! I tried a Moby when DD was about 4 weeks, it was great but couldn't get it tight enough
I also have a baby carrier Elite carrier, it's great but doesn't fit DP (too small) and is too big for my hips thus is very uncomfy!

I'm 155cm and I found natures sway to big, so I got a pouch sling and love it. DS is 18mths and still loves being in it (albeit on the back now) Best thing was it fitted in my bag and fabric is styly so I can just hang it round my neck while he walks beside me.
They are quite cheap to on TM. So you can have a couple to match your warddrobe!

I haven't tried a pouch sling, but I love my ring sling. I love the fact that DS can sit up in it easily with his weight on my hip (as opposed to my shoulders), but when he is sleepy, I can easily move him into more of a cradle position.
I find it easy to adjust - I just put it on, pop DS in, then pull!

I have a unido which I used up till about 8 1/2 months - though there was a couple of months there where he was too big for laying down or I think it's called kangaroo style but not quite up to the hip carry. But by 7-8 months I was finding it a bit hard on my shoulder if he was in it for ages (like if he fell asleep) so I bought a Baby Hawk which I really like.
I was considering a manduca as I tried one at Slingbabies and really liked it but the Baby Hawk was about $100 cheaper and the main difference to me is that instead of the ease of clips, you tie it up yourself (though Baby Hawk have that option for the extra cost too).

I just thought I'd come back to this comment, I had to go and rummage around my Facebook to find it, but figured you and others might find this article a good read on why frontpacks like the Elite are not as 'sound' as other carriers:

I'm really glad you love your ring sling and it suits your carrying style with your DS - I must say I really love the look of ring slings and they do lend themselves quite well to being 'pretty' as well as practical.

Ooh! Thanks for the link! I had heard of that and tbh we've only used it a handful of times because it was so uncomfortable and the bit where they talk about the bike; I had wondered that! Also she did have a 'problem' with her hip but it wasn't related to the carrier. She didn't have a hip check at birth and the doctors at her 3 and 5 month check were worried because she didn't bare weight on her legs (normal) and had uneven leg rolls (just chubby).
