Krystiana has been a bit unsettled in the last couple of days, isn't sleeping as well as usual (well sometimes is, but not always) and quite often when she wakes all I need to do is give her a cuddle and she falls right back to sleep. She's been coughing a bit and a bit raspy-voiced but her nose is clear, she can breathe alright. I'm wondering if she might have an ear infection or something? Is it worth taking her to the doctor (or is there nothing he can do anyway)?

Yea take her to the doc and get them checked, otherwise left untreated they can develop glue ear etc etc. The doc with just precribe antibiotics, the meds do clear it up if she does have an infection.

I'd take her to the dr as well. After seeing the pain Andrew went through with his ear problems I wouldn't risk it.

Did Andrew have them as a baby? What were his symptoms?

Andrew had them all the time. Pulling at his ears was a big sign. Generally unwell was the thing that made me take him to the dr. We ended up getting grommets in his ears this time last year and he hasn't had an infection since.

Krystiana has bronchialitis... or something like that. Basically it's a lower chest infection but not pnuemonia and she doesn't need meds, although Pamol can help with helping settle her as necessary and reducing any fever (which she doesn't have). Ears are fine, throat is a bit red.... and so is Briona's. But Bria's chest is fine so she's just got a cold, although it's probably the same viral strain.

Krystiana's will probably start resolving tomorrow.... anyway, it's all good news. Especially because when we arrived she had been dozing in the van and the doc was really concerned when he saw viral rash on her face (I thought it was hormonal rash still) and "floppy" baby. Oops!

I know what she has. When Andrew got that I was told they get it from being around people who smoke  and smoke like right by the baby. I did smoke (back then) but never around him only at work. I was not happy.

Hope she get better really soon.

Krystiana hasn't been around anyone who smokes, Doc said it's just a virus. She's mostly okay with it, good to know it should be over soon though.

Oh... made me cry, my Mum had that as a baby, doc's didnt really know what was wrong with her. She passed away last year at 44yrs old because of bronchlititis. Dont mean to scare you.
Hope your little girl JUST has the flu virus. Hope she is better in the next few days.

Scary, Glow!! Krystiana seems to have a mild form, the Docs said worse forms sometimes require hospitalisation and oxygen for babies but were happy with how she's doing. Obviously I'll be going straight for medical attention if she has trouble breathing. I think the biggest concern (but mild at all) would be that it develops into pneumonia.
