I am wanting to get the kids some nice name signs to go on their bedroom doors for Xmas. Has anyone seen any nice ones anyway? I've had a bit of a look on TM but didn't really like anything. And we don't want to be hammering nails in the door either. TIA!

TBH I couldn't find anything so am in the process (months later lol) making my own, just got a canvas, have painted it and then got wooden letters from spotlight, paints, brushes, and some decorative butterflies (spent ^$40). Was just going to stick it on with those hooks you can get that don't require hammering.

But I know you can get some sticker type ones that you can put on walls, doors, windows etc but can't for the life of me remember where I saw it, perhaps TM...

Went to TWH the other day and saw an alphabet set of wall decals. not too pricey either i dont think. were in the craft section.

Also if you are a handy sewer, you could make a bunting hanging with loops on the end to hang over the corners of the door?

Canvas with wooden letters is a cool idea. Could also paint the name onto the canvas. or fabric cover the canvas with the wooden letters. Or fabric letters (applique) and stretch over the canvas

I've seen name plaque's in Toy World, they are around $5 - $10 each.

Also Cotton On have cute individual letters you could use, not sure how much they are though.

Not sure if you saw these ones: Wall art

We got C his name last Xmas. It's very cool, she is a very talented lady. Not cheap though. Hmmm just saw you wanted it for the door so probably not as they are quite big. We have his stuck to the wall.

We got Chelsea's one from the Baby Factory, can't remember how much it cost but they have a variety of different shapes for the board (we got a bunny) and different colours for the letters, plus little pictures. The letters etc stick on to the board with super glue, and the board has two peel off sticky things that stick to the door.

Are you crafty? If so, they are really easy to make- I have done a couple for new baby gifts.
I got my inspiration from Craftster and did something like this except I cut my letters out of cardboard and kept each letter attached to the last one so that the whole thing could be hung with one piece of ribbon- if that makes any kind of sense!!

You could also buy a wooden alphabet puzzle from toyworld (about $6 each) and use the letters from that to DIY name plaque.

My mum bought the kids signs from Kelly Tarltons of all places! Luckily my kids have fairly common names, so they were both available. They are gorgeous 3D ones - people always comment on them!

I got this lady to make mine from trademe, it came out soo cute. You just have to paint them

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Baby-gear/Baby-room-furniture/Wall-hangings-paintings/Names-letters/auction-328723339.htm

or if you are wanting something a bit easier at Baby Factory you can buy a wooden backing, in the shape of say a helicopter or some other thing, and then you can buy wooden block letters and just stick them on, cheap and looks really cute. Have done that for baby's door and the other one is for his wall

Oh boo the vowels must have sold out! It's a clearance sale so that's my pick as to why they're not there (they were earlier). I could do one of my kids but not the other then...

Oops, just realised you wanted them for the door. These'd be way too big.

Sorry! As you were!!
