Is this just something we have to deal with? or is there something I can do to help my poor baby's knees.

Saw this on another forum - cut a hole in the end of some of his socks and use as knee pads.
Hopefully it works for you - havent tried it here yet

You need Huggalugs! Just like Babylegs, only I find them a little softer and stretchier - we love love *love* these in summer for DD2, she often gets around in just a tshirt, nappy and a pair of these. My Natural Baby is a good stockist, go here to see their range:
