Hi Everyone

Im after some advice, i really want to get a new pram, and would like your pro's & Cons on the phil & Ted ones, i mainly like them for the reason they are so smooth to walk with, well they feel nice in the shops lol , Weve got a 4 wheelie pram where the handle switches over so baby can face me, great when he was a new born so he was outta the weather. We would still keep this one for awhile i think. but thinking long term incase we have another baby ?

Phil'n'Teds are awesome if you can afford one, I love ours. Light, folds and unfolds easily, excellent for two kiddies. The only sports-style one that would fit in the boot of our little Mazda 121

Downsides are that the tyres don't stay inflated very easily when pumping up with a bike pump, and you are not meant to use an air compressor or they explode even if you stick to the recommended air pressure on the tyres (found this out recently when all three of my tyres exploded and bust the rims!). The wheels are really expensive to replace, at about $240 for a set.

Another slightly annoying thing is the brake, which is a bit tricky to get on and off.

Other than those two things, I love ours Wish I could afford to replace the tyres!!

We have the Dash and LOVE it. Hardly ever have to re-inflate the tyres (and it's been used daily for the past 16 months) and ours has the brake built into the handle and is really easy to use. We used it from newborn and would have DS in his capsule fitted so he was facing me. I love how it is really easy to recline him to pretty much flat if needed if he drops off. The only downside (which is really minor) is that he will fiddle with the zips used to do that and occasionally ends up sitting a bit wonky where he has unzipped one side.

Oh I should have said, I have the Phil'n'Teds sport... and it's been used really regularly (sometimes on quite rough terrain) for the last 2 years. Only just had probs with the tyres.

I loved my P&T. I got my first one when I was having DS3. I got the new E3V2 & has DS3 in the back in a cocoon & DS2 in the front he was about 17mths.

I walked everywhere &v used it like a car, walk to & from school 2x a day, went to shops & everywhere so I need a good pram.

I upgraded to the Sport when it came out as it had a few extra features that I wanted but the first one was a little bit bigger in the seat which was better. I had a P&T capsule car seat that I could sit in the pram without connectors so it was great if popping out to shops with just the baby. I also got the lazy ted that you can put on the the rear set to make it into a rocker chair to use at home & loved it.

It was easy to fold down & great on space saving.

The foot break was so hard to get on & off I often had to use my hands.
I had a lot of trouble with fat tires on the sport one & often got stranded . P&T company sent me out a free set of wheels & I changed them all &carried a spare with me which was a pain but better than a flat tier & 2 kids far from home.

But overall I loved it.

I now have a MB which is great for 1 child & can take more weight.

I have DASH and love it. I run ultra marathons/marathons and train with my son most days. Baby number two on the way now and will get the attatchment for two kids.
Pumped the wheels a few times, but did do lots of running.
LOVE IT!

Another Dash user here.
I love love love it.   Pushing 30kg of toddler+baby = biceps of steel
We walk daily on all kinds of terrain (concrete footpath, rocky gravel, wooden boardwalk, sand) and it's brilliant.

I've only had it for 5 months, but it's had a thrashing and the tyres are still firm.
Love the "infinite" lay-back function and being able to swap the toddler attachment around depending on how the kids want to sit.

I took me neighbours boy out in it with Hannah (both almost 3) and carried Mason in the Moby (and he's a solid 8kg at not quite 5 months). While hard-going in the 28 degree day it was a breeze to push with one hand (on the flat) while I battled to keep Mason's hat on him with the other

Highly recommend if you can afford it.

P&T Sport here, love it, and the break is stiff but it gets loose over time and much easier to use.

I love it - I do a lot of walking and it can definitely hack it. I love that the seat can be up right or lay flat which is great depending on DDs mood!

Tyres, I went to the service station to get it pumped, their air pumps were too big to fit in the gap of the tyres to pump them so luckily my granddad had a portable one, bike pumps don't work, or am I doing something wrong?? Oh and I did over inflate one of the tyres, but let the air out and it seems to be fine, but it's not recommended to over inflate or have them too under inflated either!

Umm re covers, if you're thinking #2, get the covers for the doubles rather than the singles, plus imo they're a bit better because they cover the parcel tray so things in their don't get wet as well!

We haven't bought the second seat yet, and will have to get onto it because our model has been replaced with the Explorer.

Also if you buy the newest model released, so currently the Explorer, they tend to have a fwe problems usually. Remember seeing a thread about it last year but can't seem to find it in the search function.

Imo, it's money well spent, BUT, I do encourage you to have a look around at other buggies that are 3 wheeled and can have a doubles attachment too. There are a few out there.

We've got a Dash and really love it.    Easy to fold up and put in the boot and it's got the brake in the handle so pretty easy. Easy to push and control even when carrying a wriggling baby that doesn't want to be in a stroller anymore

I've got the new Explorer and really like it!
It has a very easy to use break and is super easy to fold down.
Very happy with it so far.
Here we go again, another baby on it's way!

I have a P&T Sport. Fantastic buggy for rough terrain.
My only issue i would have is the break which is a bit stiff to start with but it is loosening up over time.

Lovely to push and very easy steering...
It also lays flat which is great if you are out somewhere and bub needs to go to sleep.

I have P&T sport model. Absolutely loved it. Purchased the capsule as well so it was fantastic for transferring a sleeping baby from the car to the pram.

Only complaint I have is the brake always was, and still is hard to use (that said I only use the pram once a week).

Have the classic coz we were too budget to go any fancier and didn't see the benefits at the time.
However the brake is a pain, so stiff that I can't do with my foot but then I have hardly ever used it lol.

Probably some other things with the fancier models that would be of benefit but haven't been too bothered by anything else with our model.

Sounds like they are really great The tyres are quite expensive tho lol, How did u guys find it when you had a newborn in there since the backing seat kinda dosnt have any hard support, i imagine it would be abit more comfy for them then laying on padding on a hard support for there back

I had my NB in a cocoon lying down on the main seat & the toddler was it the 2nd seat attached to the front.

When he got bigger I had him in the 2nd seat attached to the back. I did find it annoying when he fell asleep as his head fell forward. I ended up getting one of those neck support pillow things but did not use it much. I then changed to the Sport model as the second seat could recline. Pity the bar on top of seat was not adjustable.

Lily was in it from NB, she didn't mind... We had a cocoon too but she hated that plus it was late summer and a bit hot I think... So long as they are lying flat is the main thing.
