Hey everyone, We are heading south on a 3 month trip with our dd in January. She will be 4 months when we leave. We plan to take about 5-6 days to get from Whangarei to Wellington before crossing to the South Island. We then have 10 weeks before having to get the ferry back again, and another week to drive home. We'd like to meet other parents and babies along the way and would love to know of any play groups / play centres etc that would let us stop for one session. Due to the way we travel, we dont know when we'll be in any particular place (apart from Wellington and Picton for the ferries) but would appreciate some suggestions and times for play groups around the country. Or maybe your local library or plunket run regular classes / groups we could join in. Our library used to run a music and movement group each week for example.
Thanks heaps!

Well for the North Island in January, most playcentres and plunket groups etc are still closed for the christmas holidays.
However you are welcome to come to Hastings and us local Ohbaby Mums will make an effort to get together for our coffee group and have lunch if you like.

All our playgroup and music classes are closed over January too. But if you happen to come through Ohakune, you're more than welcome to come have a cuppa at our place!

Thanks for visiting, Karen - was great meeting you guys and wee Samara! Campbell brought me the rattle yesterday, saying "bubba" - I think he enjoyed spending time with Samara! Hope the rest of your trip goes well!
