i need to heat my 3 yr olds room....any suggestions? its very cold and heat doesnt go down there...was looking at the eco panel heater as apparently that is the safest but still if a kid plays with it ..........
They are hot when you touch them but you gotta leave your hand on them for a few seconds before you get burnt. Daniel has never burnt himself on his one. Hes touched it a couple of times and learnt not to. Not really much different from an oil heater
thanks...at the moment he doesnt have anything and ends up into our bed...he does have so many blankets weighing him down but he also managers to slide up and end up with nothing on him
do you think its expensive? both cost and electricity? we cant afford it so will have to layby it and if it cost too much/....... dont really know what else to look at......do you leave it on all night?it has a thermastate doesnt it?
We also use an econoheat panel in DS room, just the smaller one. It is great - not sure what the temp is in there but without it that room gets really cold. You can get it with a timer, or just buy a timer that you plug in seperately if you want it on at a certain time. It hasnt made much of a difference to our power bill at all so far.
We just got an Econo Heater for our place (well the landlord aka my BIL got it for us). Apparently they are real cheap to run and give off good heat. He got ours from Mitre 10 Mega for I think $139?? And it was the larger sized one so I thought that was pretty good
We have got a 5 fin oil heater and will switch off when it gets to that temp. DD's room is on the south side of the house and haven't used it yet as she wears a polar fleece all in one that keeps warm during the night.
i just went on the website and aparently you cant put them under windows.....mmmm there is one plug in the room and that is right under the window....the windows go right across two walls and the only other wall is where his bed is....also no plug there....so i guess we may have to leave that idea
We live in the south island and I bought a Econ panel the large version for a tiny room. It's fine for taking the chill off but no good at all if it's really cold.:(
