    Posted: 01 February 2011 at 10:57am
We've got the P&T Explorer and are alrady on our second set of wheels as the originals had a fault. Apparently a whole container load of prams that arrived in NZ had this problem. We pumped the tires up yesterday and noticed the same problem again on one of the wheels.
Has anybody else had the same problem?

When inflating the tyre the inner tube for some reason bulges out and gets rather large lol! This has caused the rim of the wheel to bend so we need a complete new wheel. When this happend initially I was told that the entire shipment of Explorers into NZ had the same problems. I have now found out the replacement wheel I received back then also came from the same patch of faulty stock Not impresses with the retailer at all!

Before you go a buy the Explorer get you husband/partner to try it out. Mine complains he keeps hitting it with his feet when pushing it.
I also just noticed the other day you almost need 3 hands to sit the seat up when the baby is in it! (I only just noticed this now as we still mainly use the pram with the penut) So I may get better at it if I have to use it a bit more.

Thanks. Good to know. Im hoping we will get the next shipment here in Aus when we buy this month. We have a sport now and we love it but want to upgrade.

I much prefer the sport seat recline (the zip and clips) over the draw strong system, always have, but all the new PnT's have the drawstring, gah!

I think every time P & T bring out a new buggy there are 'teething' probs but they generally sort it out eventually! I got told not to buy a 'new' model until a year after its intro! But who can wait when you want huh?

We have had ours one month and haven't had any probs with the wheels, but its only been used a couple of times.

I agree its impossible to move the chair into upright position. Especially when its a toddler in it!
