The cream of tartar recipes make it last ages(6mnths or longer) in a sealed container.

1C Water (warm)
1TblS Vegetable Oil
1/2C Salt
1TblS Cream of Tartar
Food colouring
1 1/2C Flour

Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food colouring into a pot and gently heat until warm. Remove from heat and add flour.

i have found the one where you heat it is less grainy - must be the dissolving salt. at playcentre we have a no-cook recipe -but as I said, I findit very grainy. the Ohbaby one I use ALL the time and LOVE it. lasts for ages too.

Porse gave us the following. Not sure if it is the the same as OB?

1 cup salt
2 cups flour
4 tsp creamof tartar
2 T cooking oil
2 cups water
powder paint/food coloring
Mix all ingredients in a pot. Add the colouring and cook for 3 - 5 minutes, stiring constantly until firm.

Thought id add the peanut butter recipe, for the kids that like to eat it!!

2C Peanut butter
6TblS Honey
Milk powder
Cocoa

Mix all ingredients in a bowl, adding enough milk powder to reach the consistency of dough. Shape and decorate with treats, and eat YUM!!

oo sounds tasty gloria (even though i hate peanut butter lol) might have to try it on haleigh when she gets a little older.
I was told also the more cream of tartar you add the silkier it gets.
I never had problems with my playdough going grainy and I dont cook mine, my mum cooks the one form the tartar pack but i was scared i was going to ruin it by doing that.

Bay had a bad reaction to peanuts when he was 3 weeks old, it was the only thing i had eaten and when i fed him he stopped breathing went blue and foamed at the mouth so we rushed him to hospital but the doc said he would probably grow out of it and he did (i was alergic to tomatoes at his age and grew out of it!) but he loves the stuff now!!!!
I wish we had all of the ingredients!!! im so craving some now!!
