Topic: Whats happening? Posted: 24 April 2011 at 4:04pm |
Hey ladies, I have been TTC with first baby for last 28months, we got BFP at 6months of TTC and then m/c at about 6 weeks.
Finally after 28 long and often heart breaking months, and 6wks after going to see a natruopath we got another BFP...yay! AF is always right on schedule if not 1-2days before I start spotting so we knew something wasn't up first day it was late! Did home test got faint +ve, went to Dr next day who did test and he too got faint +ve, he suggested as it was early days to wait until after weekend to do bloods.
Did that got confirmed +ve on Thursday, although recommended that I go back for another test next week.
In between time I visited Dr and did my bloods and I found I was feeling quite bloated, needing to go loo bit more often and had some cramping ~ which I thought were probably normal? (Although no sore boobs yet which I seem to read everywhere is a common symptom?)
Anyway Friday morning, I found I started lightly bleeding not major but enough to notice and make me worry. It stopped, this happened again Sat and Sun morning as well. I have also had some cramping but found that I no longer have the other symptoms I had last weekend?
I am really worried and wondering if I could be m/c again? At present I am/would be 5wks and 4 days.
What's happening and what can I do?
I know if I am m/c then there is nothing really that I can do and that I should just let it happen...so heartbreaking after all this time.

I never got sore boobs with any of my pregnancies and I also had light spotting with my last 2 and they are healthy babies.
I know it's a worrying time but I wish you all the luck for a healthy pregnancy!! If you are really worried you could ring your midwife or the doctor though and get a scan.

Some people spot or bleed all through their pregnancies, some just when their period would be due.
Hope you get some answers soon and the spotting is just your wee bub settling in.

I had a gush early-ish in pregnancy with my first (8 weeks), so bleeding and a good outcome can definitely happen. As for pregnancy symptoms - I don't get all the usuals either (eg. sore boobs). I just got with No. 2 the same things that happened with No. 1 - cramping with both, really upset stomach, bloated, that sort of thing. It was the upset stomach that got me this time - I was feeling really blah and then grabbed my diary and started counting days

Thanks ginger for restoring my faith! my bleeding has stopped today so that has made me feel little bit better today. I still have cramps so not sure what's up with that.
Kinda sucks when you've had a m/c previously because it means you can't really enjoy your pregnancy without over analysing everything that is happening with your body!

Its very normal to get cramps in early pregnancy, its your uterus growing.
