DD is telling me all about poo's and pee's. She will often do a little dribble when running around nudey, so I ask her if she wants to go to the toilet and she agree's but once there she doesnt go. Yesterday we did 6 trips in about 20mins before I put a nappy on her and see went for a pee. Do I just keep going with taking her and hoping she might go one day? Im not in any rush, but would rather it happened sooner than later! Thanks

Maybe get her a potty that she can get on and off herself. Give her plenty of nudey time (easier during summer) and try to get her to go to potty herself.
You could try putting her on the potty after she wakes from naps or after a breastfeed, as this is often a time when toddlers need to go.
but she is still pretty young, so I wouldn't worry about it so much. Maybe google elimination communication and adapt some of their principles to your situation.

Sorry I should add we have two pottys that float around the house. She will happily sit on one for about a second or two. Yeah im trying the EC method, I think im def going to do that from the start with the next bubs! Thanks

We had the same issue with DD1. She was telling us "wees" when she went in her nappy and liked to watch us on the toilet and comment on what we were doing etc. Everyone told me it was too early and TBH i didn't want to be dealing with TT whilst pregnant and breastfeeding DD2. So we have been taking it at a very slow pace and will wait for Summer to fully TT her. So far she likes to wee on the potty after her bath only (from about 18mo) and we have had 1 little #2 which was a bit of a surprise to all of us.  Just going slow and predictably has been easy for all of us and she now understands fully the concept. We've introduced stickers now when she goes after her bath so that once we start with knickers and proper TT she'll already know the drill. My friend's DD was toilet trained at 14mo so it's not impossible to do it early. Good luck!

Ive done EC with Aiden from 5months- hes done almost all his poos on the potty since then, and now will go on there himself- its too cold for nudy time so I gotta take his clothes off for him- so we still a bit away from independant toileting. He has been dry for 12 hrs overnight since 11 months, despite at least 2 breastfeeds in that time- he did 14hr hrs between wees one night last week!

Maybe read a book to her or sing her a song while she sits on the potty to get her to stay on a little longer? DD started TTing at 19 months so a little older than you girl but still pretty young. It's taken a while but now shes fully dry during the day (even naps) .... poos are another thing lol.
But yeah we just use to put her on the potty for a wee while and keep her entertained for maybe 5mins and then if she did a wee make a big deal (and we used treats like a pebble or a sticker)

I'm gently steering DS towards TT also. I'd love to have him out of nappies by the time #2 comes along. However, he can't walk or talk yet so I'm not expecting it too soon.
Make sure that when you go to the toilet that you leave the door open and make a big fuss about yourself. "WOW, Mum's doing a wee on the toilet, that's SO clever, yayh for Mum" etc etc. Make going to the toilet a really fun, positive experience. Get your partner to do the same.
DS will sit for longer on his seat on the toilet than he will on the potty so you could try that also. With DS, I sit him on the toilet as soon as he wakes in the morning and from naps. Often after a 3 hour nap if I get him up and on the toilet straight away, he'll have a dry nappy.
Make sure to tell your DD when she is weeing too so she learns what that feeling is called and also knows to pay attention to it. I know when DS is doing a poo by his face so I make sure to tell him he's doing a poo in his nappy. Then I talk about changing him and putting his poo in the toilet and next time he can tell me so he can do his poo in the toilet. After I change his nappy he comes with me to the toilet and watches me put the poo in and flush it away.
Just some ideas we're using at the moment. Good luck. I can't imagine anything nicer than an early TT child :)

Weve been part time ECing since DD was 6m old (I made sure she got a potty for xmas!) and shes done her poos on the potty since then (since it was predictable, pretty much first thing in the morning, and only once a day), she was about 9ish months when I started offering the potty after she wakes up (since babes dont pee when they are asleep, and if they get used to the potty being offered straight after they wake up they will start to hold on a wee bit).
Since weve been back from the states Ive been a bit more onto it (offering every hour when shes up, and having no nappy on at home (great way to start out cos you can work out how long they can go before they need to pee)) and shes started saying t, t, t (for toilet) before she pees/poos (no poo face here!). Yesterday she went out for 2 hours, did an hour and a half nap and STILL had a dry nappy! I think she would prob be TTed by now if I was brave enough to venture out with out a nappy and was more onto it while we were out.
So yeah, i would start by sitting on the potty/toilet as soon as she wakes, have some new/exciting toys for her to play with, and make the ppsssss sound when she wees. DD loves watching it go down the toilet and waves bye to it

my friend did the whole no clothes running around naked, potties all around the house when her children similiar age, it worked after about 2-3months with her boys and girls, but they seemed to have accidents for much longer than my girls.
SIL with a boy did it too and he was always having accidents, took him till nearly 3year and she started 18m peeing on MIL sofa/dining chairs at meals it was disgusting for a child to eat with no pants on we all thought at a big family dinner. With new carpet and girls I avoided inviting her over for a while after he peed twice while here and play with his penis then play with the toys without washing hands
Personally I prefer that they are at a stage where they can manage to remove and put back on knickers/elasticated pants or skirts/shorts themself, my DD were both in cloth naps for daytime mostly which I presume like yours makes them more aware of "whats going on down there". things like climbing on the toilet themselfs, reaching the door handle, washing there hands etc. I never confused the girls either once it was knickers it was knickers all the time. no pull ups or nappies during day AT ALL. DD1 took about 6days 2yr2m and DD2 was dry by 3days at a month before her 2nd birthday. I brought loads of cheap knickers at the asian import shops as TT no2 took a few weeks so they went into the bin if soiled at $1 each similar price to pull ups. There preschool was really helpful at TT and practised what we wanted and I think DD2 was quicker as watching big sis and the other kids at kindy and teachers guiding her like putting her on the toilet between nappy changes after naps etc (she was only doing 3 x 4hr but it all helps, not just mum nagging)
But of course everyone is different so do what works for you. I found the GINA FORD TT book a good reference.
