What are your hobbies? How do you make time for them as well as being a mum and everything else you have to do?

Is being a forum geek a hobby? It has to be, it's all I've got!
I'm trying to make knitting my hobby, but it isn't working out so great at the moment... I feel guilt about not doing "stuff" whenever I sit down to knit.

Sewing, scrapbooking, sewing some more, making cakes, making stuff for the kids, shopping, and i used to like reading too:
however....
Sewing i only do for dress-up days and for sleeping bags these days, lol, scrap booking iuhave bought all the pages, pictures, stickers albums, and have not yet put them together, cakes i ony make for birthdays now, shopping i do for the kids, and the only reading i do these days is either medical stuff of hairy maclary etc. lol
so in short, i don't make time for them, i like to think i have hobbies but they are really just more things that i start and don't finish. lol. I think a hobbie is something you do on a more regular basis.
although.. i am starting up my sleeping bag making for the year.. sparkle and jax.. gimme a couple of weeks and i'll be sending yours to ya!

Try to start up this business is the big project at the moment. Have a couple of new products in mind..... One is an adaptation on a sleep sack (the one I called for product testers...) and the other one I can't elaborate on yet..
Other things that I do are cross stitch (still woking on one I started b4 ethan was born ) , reading, gardening, and house renovating...my ongoing nightmare!!

Sewing (usually for someone other than myself though!!!), baking, waaaay too much time on here , reading (but as Janine said - usually kids books - or magazines about kids lol). I used to make a lot of cards for birthdays and do other artsy things, but there isn't so much time for that anymore!

aside from wedding planning, which takes up all my non children non internet time (I just love surfing the net), my hobbies are scrapbooking, reading, photography and music. I am utterly obsessed with music.
Also, my brother showed me how to use moviemaker on my puter today, so I will probably throw over scrapbookng and make cds of mini montage movies all thie time, lol!

Bee, do you know of any digital scrapbooking sites? Sounds interesting!
I love scrapbooking and card making. I can only do it if I have some inspiration though, and usually it doesn't come at the times I have time for the hobbies! I also knit. I tend to do these things after Ashlee has gone to bed -- the dishes and washing can wait until the morning
I would sew if I wasn't so scared of the sewing machine as well!

scrapbooking is where you do funky pages all decorated with a theme and place photos in them - on acid free paper and stuff
OR if you are me - scrapbooking is something people have given you for wedding and baby and you have put in a closet to do - ONE DAY!!! Yeah right!!!
Hobbies - well i used to do dog training twice a week, SPCA work with fur babies, used to swim a lot, go movies, travel etc...and now....i barely get to read the herald each day....OMG newborns are timewasters!

I still find time to garden & dig around in the dirt, finding old bottles, which i collect & junk lol.
Now i have a child i don't have the much time or energy to play sport & outdoor adventures like i used to, but still make an effort to get out & do things that can include Brae.
Scrapbooking, beading & creative junk sculptures are more kiddie oriented these days & are friendly for little hands.
Does it count when you modify your interests to include kids & do it as much as you like or can be bothered?
I do get out with the girlfriends every fortnight or so for dinner, coffee, shopping or chats etc, kiddie less. Which is my highlight b/c its when I'm me & not a mum. & sometimes, i can get to wrapped up in being. IYKWIM

Yeah I am a closet scrapbooker, try to keep it a secret, but I guess its not so geeky any more.
I also climb and kayak, and am trying to get my butt into gear for a multisport race later in the year...

Most of mine have taken a major back seat since Ella's arrival. I've not sat at my drum kit in 7 months! (and I miss it - but when on earth can you practice something that loud, when you're home with baby?!?). This website is a hobby for me. I've fitted in the occasional artsy thing - usually making something for Ella. Would like to devote a bit more time to painting again. I'm avoiding the scrapbooking urges, because it'd be so easy to get into but we can't really afford all the stuff, and I know I'd want to buy so much of it! I'd get rather carried away.
So come on, Teresa.... what are yours and how on earth do you fit any in?!

I love photography which works well with a baby cos I always have something to photograph
I used to be a real gym bunny and did body building for a while and would love to get back in to some form of high intensity training once finished BFing.

I play in a brass band (getting back there one day) so music is a big one for me.
