Ok, so I bought 3 fuzzis for Jacob last week,a ndtonight I put him in one for the first time. These are size large, he's a shade over 11kg. One booster one liner. One hour later, wet, and wet through his jammies......uh ohhh

Uh oh. LOL. Try putting two inserts in each time and three overnight. Also make sure there was no space at his thigh as the white inside of the FB can seep liquid onto his pants if it's not firm enough.
I'm curious to know if you bought your FB through an agent or s/hand? Just cause I'm waiting on an order (for ages!)

I find for Maddie she needs 3 inserts overnight. For her a booster and an insert is a day nappy only.

Pretty much the same here too, although at night we use two inserts and a booster.

That amount of absorbency "should" last more than an hour, that's what I have Caitlin in and that lasts 3-4 hours, but each child is different.
Just a thought, because they are second hand I would check that they don't have any build up on them as this could make them leak too, there is a thread around here somewhere about stripping MCNs.
Also make sure there are no gaps especially the back of the thighs and no gapping or sagging at the bottom (crotch) when he stands up.
Good luck, any other questions just yell out

when i had fuzzi's i'd always use 2 inserts together and would last 3-4hrs no probs. overnight, i use a prefold and peapod hemp insert and that would last them 12-13hrs.
as the others have said, make sure there's no gap around the legs and also the inserts aren't poking out the top of the pocket.

I couldn't find any combination in fuzzis alone that would last through the night with my super wetter (mind you, probably had a bit of fleece buildup too) but I fixed the problem with a wool cover over top (of two microfibre inserts and a thick hemp insert).
That was because sposies were absolutely not cutting it either... Han would soak right through a sposie easy.
I'd try a whoooooole lot more than an insert and a booster overnight - in the absence of hemp, I usually use 2 inserts and a folded flat.

Thanks guys! I really had nooooo idea about how much to pad it up. Ana suggested that they may have build up as well, and has also given me a couple of Joeys petites to try out just in case the large aren't the right fit... will strip them all first, then give it another go. Watch this space!!

oh, I didn't realise you were putting bubs to bed in 1 insert and a booster. Sorry, you should be using double that and more for a heavy wetter.
Thats the great thing about FBs, they have a large pocket so you can keep on stuffing 'em until til you get what you need

ok, not even an hour later, saturated, screaming child. hmmmm. Back to drawring board. Iso don't want to give up on these! But I really don't want to spend alot mor emoney, either, as I already feel a bit sick about the $60, PLUS I had to buy some huggies today as I had no night time nappies in the house. Maybe I should just list them and sell them and start again on something else..

do you have any old flats? if so try one of those with an insert, or even two. and when you stuff the nappy are the inserts going all the way to the edges?

oh and watch which way you are pointing his equipment. It might be too close to the edge, esp if the nappy is gaping, and just going out the side.

Just another note... sometimes nappies need to be stripped multiple times. If you pour water on the fleece and it pools there, then you still have buildup.

Probably needs a lot more stuffing than that too - Han would soak through an insert and 2 boosters pretty quickly too. Flats and inserts would work great -might need the larges for all that.
