Topic: DH/DP & OhBaby Posted: 09 July 2007 at 5:15pm |
Just wondering how many of your DHs/DPs or whatever know about OB when you are TTC??? I know that a couple who already have children post too. My DH thinks I spend way too much time on 'that baby site you like'. He just said he doesn't want to think about how often I'll be on it when we actually get pregnant, and then have a baby... I guess its never ending! Ha ha. No wonder I've been getting emails from telstraclear saying I've used up 100% of this months internet thingy Lol

My DH knew about OB when we were TTC, at first I think he thought it was kind of strange but then once he realised all the good information I found, he liked it! He thinks its very useful

My DH is the same as yours arohanui - thought it was strange at first, but he's so glad now that I can find out answers to niggly little qu's etc online instead of bugging him about my 'wonderings'.

Yep same here, my DP is quietly grateful that I do most of my baby talk on here instead of talking his ears off He loves that I get so much information here though.

My DH feels the same
I think I found Oh Baby when I was 3mths pregnant so it helped to talk to other ladies on here that were at the same stage of pregnancy and now with toddlers it's invaluable! (except for all of the birthdays at the same flamin' time lol)

Andy doesn't quite understand my love of "that baby site you go to". He teases me and always asks what the secret handshake is.
I do think that if he thpought about it he would definitely appreciate me annoying you gals instead of him tho!

Willie knows about OHbaby! obviously, since it's what keeps our kids in Pumpkin Patch clothes, but I don't think he appreciates just how attached I am to the message boards, and I think he would be mildly amused to know how many posts I have here. And he DEFINITELY doesn't know how much info I shared on our BDing habits when we were TTC

My DH, too, thinks I spend too much time on this site, he also thinks that I am getting all these 'worst case' scenarios that others have had, and thinking that I am self-diagnosing all the time!
I love coming here and catching up with everyone and getting good advice! I think as DH is a typical male, he just won't ever 'get' us women!!!

Aaron teases me too, and worries a little about how much you all might know about us.
I think he understands what this forum provides though and like the others, is glad I can come and do some of my talking here than to him

yep DH - aka BSDH - knows all about it....took him a while but i think he decided to see what it was all about...i got told off for a couple of in laws posts early on so what you read now is tame!!! LOL!!!!
but think it has helped him know that it is ok to research stuff like sore nipples etc...and he knows that i have support when i need it....eg when i found out about the uterus and googled it! He is now into OhBaby as much as I am...oh dear I might have to find a new site....
