 Topic: sleeping bags

I was given a Merino Kids GoGo Bag for Kaleb but am not sure how I am meant to use it - do I use it with him in a stretch and grow underneath or just a bodysuit singlet? Do I still tuck blankets around him? Can you wrap babies in sleeping bags?
Thanks for your help (don't really want this to go to waste esp after I found out how much was spent on it  )

I've got one and i love it! I used ot from about 2 months at night and didn't wrap Brenna. Is it a summer or winter weight? Mine's a summer one and in summer she just had on her nappy and short sleeved bodysuit and no extra blacnkets. Now, she has flanalette PJ's, then her sleeping bag, then flanalette sheet, 2 aircell blankets, and 1 polar fleece blanket. I only tuck her blankets into the end of her cot cause she likes to snuggle them around her head when sleeping.
We also have our heat pump on

Erin doesn't have a Go Go Bag as much as I would love one dearly, they are $$$ !! But atm she wears a nappy, singlet, then a onesie on top (cotton or fleece), then inside the sleeping bag. I only have two blankets on top of her at the moment, one fleece one and a hand knitted woollen one.

The gremlins have winter weight Grobags and I put them in a polyprop singlet, stretch and gro then the sleeping bag, plus a mink blanket which they usually kick off, and I keep the room at 18 degrees with a thermostat heater.

Ollie has a summer weight one and I LOVE it! In the summer he just wore a singlet in it and in the winter he has a singlet, woollen singlet, and two aircell blankets on top. He is in a safety sleep too. We started using it from about three months. When he was that young we did up the domes under the arm but don't now. They are so good for feeding at night or in the morning as you know they are warm.

JOsh has a polarfleece bag and has been in it since 3 months. His room is quite cold (i'm still waiting for the heat transfer kit to be put in) so he has a number of blankets on top of him. It's great as he can't kick it off him like blankets so even if he packs a tanty the covers still stay on.

James has a polarfleece one which I only use in winter with flanalette(sp?) pj's underneath. I use it coz he wont keep his blankets on.

Thanks- I have a summer weight one and thought he would need to wear more layers under and cover with more on top but wasn't too sure.

We've got a summer weight one & don't use any blankets on top. At the moment Matt has a onesie & flannellette pj's on underneath it & he's nice & toasty in the morning when I get him up. Will put a wool singlet on him too when it's really cold.

Rohan has a winter weight Grobag and wears a vest and a long sleeve singlet with it. His room is kept at 18 degrees and that's all he needs. If you go to www.grobags.com they tell you what clothes are needed depending on the room temperature and thickness of the Grobag.
He can kick and squirm but never gets caught up in it and they are easy to change him in without having to undress him or get him too cold.
We highly recommend them!

Wow - I'm lucky Ella hasn't cooked then! She's in a cotton onesie, a woollen singlet or top over that, socks, then her all-in-one jammie-jims, then her sleeping bag (sleeveless, not merino though, just lined cotton fleece, and not padded), THEN she has her blankets on top! Though she never seems too hot when I wake her. Her oil heater is on very low overnight, too, but we live in an old house so it gets rather cold.
