Topic: And the weekend begins... Posted: 25 August 2007 at 9:04am |
I dont think i like weekends...Hubby works on saturdays, but because i know it is saturday i feel like i should have a day off even tho as a mum i dont really get days off...so nothing gets done around the house. then sunday hubby has off and still nothing gets done cause he is having his weekend. And this weekend we have to have his son for sunday and i just want to get the dining room painted... oh woe is me!!
Must get some motivation to do something...maybe i'll visit the house of pox. the kids havent been that sick this winter after all...hmmm

LOL but I know what you mean, DH was working Saturdays in his previous job (up until about 3 months ago) and it was such a pain! And there was no going up town as a family because when he got home he wanted to stay put!

your not alon we GandT, saturdays and sometimes sundays are days when I seem to 'let things go' since hubby is off work I think well hey I can have a day off as well! DH plays sports on saturday so out most of the day (espec when its cricket season which is soon) so my thinking is - if they can have a day off so can I. But lets be honest even if we leave the house work we still aren't having a day off - after all some ones gotta feed the kids and make sure everything is ok with them. And if you are like me I still do tidying up (just not as much)
So don't be hard on yourself. Go on have a day off - you deserve it!

My DH is off playing in a soccer tournament, sucks though when you want to go and do something together and he isn't here, feels like another weekday....

I guess we take it badly cause if we do take a day off, it really just means working harder the day before and day after But I generally don't do washing on Sundays, that's my little weekly break. After then I'm usually prepared for whatever Monday may bring!

Sometimes if I'm really, really, really lucky, Willie gets the kids up on a Sunday so I can sleep in. I'm talking once a year or so. He used to do it every Sun when it was just Maya, but he's not so keen with the gremlins, and when he does he usually pesters me 1/2 a dozen times with what to get them for breakfast etc. So Sundays aren't so bad. And Saturdays are hang out in our PJ's all day days, today even the gremlins stayed in their PJ's all day, altho Maya and I did let down the team by getting dressed and going for a walk.
