Topic: daddy dresses me funny Posted: 15 September 2007 at 10:16pm |
So is Ella the only kid who ends up with EVERYTHING tucked into her pants if her daddy gets her dressed?! The whole lack of baby-fashion-sense thing is universal amongst daddy's, isn't it?
...I'm not complaining - any time DH wants to help out is fine with me! I just think it's funny when my daughter comes out of her room in a pink jacket tucked into her pink pants, which may or may not be tucked into her pink socks.

My DH can't get over the amount of stuff a girl has to wear, just for an outfit! Tights, singlet, top, dress over top of that, cardy.... hehe. He's a pants and t-shirt, black and white kinda guy. He still doesn't know what skirts are: he thinks anything that doesn't have pant legs is called a dress. (And 'frocks' confuse him even more, not to mention petticoats and pinnafores!) What a crack-up! What's even funnier is when he'll say something to Hannah about her "dress" and she will tell him it's a skirt
Your DH and tucking in socks though?!!? ROFL!

LMAO Andie, but I bet Ella looked cute
Willie doesn't dress the girls, he just changes their nappies and leaves them in their PJ's. And when Maya was smaller some of the things he dressed her in were, ummm, well lets not go there. I mean, I don't buy her anything that I don't approve of, but it's the combinations he comes up with that throw me!

same here - I buy all of Ella's clothes, but there's still some wicked-funny combos available if you really want to find them in her wardrobe!
Her Daddy would be so proud if I could buy her some tiny baby jandals and a Tui T. Oh what a pity they don't make them!

My friend has got some jandals for her son (he's 18 months). She got them from a surf shop and they are called 'baby havanas' or something like that. I saw them yesterday - very cute!!!

My DH could manage to put 6 different (and not necessarily complementary) shades of pink on Gem when she was little - not that I'd ever complain else he'd never help out!

ummmm i mostly leave her clothes out the night before on the change table....BUT when i forget is usually when daddy *suprise* dresses her...
dont get me wrong...heart in right place but sometimes the combos - or using really good clothing for DC or HUGE socks, or clash of colours - or jeans that are and outfit but not with the top they go with cause " i didnt want to make an outfit of it".....
but he loves her..........

Oh but you can get tiny baby jandals I saw then in the Billabong shop last week here in Welly. They were super cute and soooooo on my "stuff Noah NEEDS for summer" Im sure i've seen baby Tui tees at those stores that carry Canterbury clothing. Sounds like such a cute wee outfit.

Hey Andie, I have some teeny pink baby havana jandals if you want them? They are brand spanking new but I doubt I'll use them! Would be happy to fling them your way!

And just to add: Andy always complains that I change the kids when he dresses them. Sometimes he'll dress them in the morning and I will change them when I get up. Some combinations just aren't good.
